Review by Isolde Lata: I’m really glad I chose Dr. Sima to do my knee replacement. He and his staff have a well-organized program for maximum recovery in minimum time, with an emphasis on infection control. I was home from surgery in his facility on the same day. A leg-bending machine was provided to gradually bring my knee to where it should be able to go. Excellent home health care was followed by effective physical therapy. When I compare my experience and results to what other options have produced, I know I made the right choice.

What a wonderful office! Jennifer, Bill, Kim and David are the nicest group! I highly recommend if you want a great medical team!

I need more stars please..........Dr.Bill and staff at both offices are awesome .Just had my second joint replacement and am most pleased.I think the team goes above and beyond. A pleasure to work with such professionals. Oh and I got a personal evening call from Doc checking on me....Ill be baaaack.

After waiting more than a month to see Dr Sima I went to my appointment yesterday. I was required to print out a 7 page document before going in, in addition I had an interview with an assistant explaining my reason for the visit. But instead of the doctor himself I had another assistant named Jennifer I believe sent in to replace him. She hadn't looked at my paperwork or talked to the previous assistant about why I was there. I think I maybe have a shin split and it's painful but we'll never find out. She was focusing on trying to sell me another knee replacement or maybe stem cell injections or fat cell injections, only trying to run up huge medical bills I guess..I kept trying to get her to discuss treatment for the shin pain, she told me I should see my regular doctor! Then she said she'd offered me 12 different suggestions that I refused, and walked out!Just to be clear I realize I have arthritis both knees but I was not seeking advice about that since I had a failed knee surgery and would never consider that again.

During the Omicron upswing in viral cases county wide , we kept an appointment we had made 6 weeks prior to the appointment date. The receptionist kept her mask under her nose as we and several other patients entered the waiting room. Dr. Sima entered the examination room with a mask on, and immediately pulled his mask down to his chin where he kept it throughout the exam. The blatant ignoring of Covid protocol undermined our confidence in the doctor.

Dr. Sima performed an anterior left hip replacement for me at the end of 2021. I had the right hip replaced several years ago with a posterior replacement. Dr. Sima is one of the few surgeons in the SLO region who perform anterior hip replacement. He is highly skilled and I can personally attest to the difference of anterior vs posterior. The anterior method was so much easier in the following ways hospital stay (out -patient), recovery and pain was so significantly reduced. Less pain medications, less chance of complications, superior in all ways. Do the research, the anterior method with Dr. Sima is the best choice for hip replacement.

Dr Sima performed a partial knee replacement on me 2 months ago and I have to say thank you very much. I spent the last two years in a great deal of pain and his work has gotten me back on the golf course and working in the yard again. His nursing and office staff exemplify his commitment to professionalism and I can’t say enough about his work. Thank you again

I saw Dr. Sima for a labrum tear in my left shoulder. Everything went smooth and was explained to me either before or as it was happening. The anesthesiologist was amazing and explained not only what he was doing but also how I should feel so there were no surprises! I’m still going through physical therapy but Dr. Sima was so amazing, I’m having him work on an old injury I have in my right shoulder from YEARS ago and am fully confident he is going to get me feeling and performing better than I have in years!!

Top notch experience, I felt like I was given the Red Carpet Experience, from the very first time entering the office! Staff is courteous and knowledgeable, appointments are as they should be, on time. Dr Sima is professional and definitely is at the top of his game as a surgeon. If I could give 10 stars, I would give 11!
