List of Darren Scott Payne's Reviews
Yeah, he's the best. Good personality AND he knows what he is doing - win/win
I saw Dr. Payne to remove an ingrown toenail. He did a great job, and kept me talking during the procedure while I was nervous. His entire staff was very friendly, and the whole visit was quick, but it didn't feel rushed. He also presented several options for my treatment, and walked me through what each entailed. He let me choose which procedure to go with, and I felt that he and his staff genuinely listened to my pain levels/concerns. I would definitely recommend this office.
Dr Payne is the best foot doctor, with good bedside manner. He's super smart and a Dodger fan!!!!His office staff are great. I don't remember all the names, but not one of them is a prima donna like in many doctor's offices.Marina, Sue are two I remember. Kelly, one of Dr Payne's medical assistants, is my special pal. She has all kinds of tricks to help with my feet and she is super nice.
Dr. Payne and Dr. Zapt were wonderful! I went for an ankle sprain. I was so worried. They were not alarmists. Fitted me with a brace and assured me I didn't need surgery. And now it's so much better. Their staff is the best. They are so friendly and nothing is a big deal. And they are Dodger fans. What could be better?
Time well spent there.
My husband has been seeing Dr. Payne in Thousand Oaks for over a year. The nurses are rude, never return CVS requests for refill of medication, you have to call the office atleast 2 times. They have over charged the insurance so much, when we questioned it they cut the bill to less than half.Dr Payne will approve a medicine (non narcotic) refill, then the nurses question it, and one will approve and say they will call it in, but then they dont. It's just a hastle, the office communication is lacking. They have treated us so rude the last 3 months, we found a new doctor. They do not Care. And they know how much pain my husband's neuropathy causes, they do not care.
Dr. Payne helped with my planter fasciitis! I could barely walk and within a week I was feeling great! He explained it to me in a way I could understand but didn't make me feel dumb. He also didn't try to push his offices "gear" on me. I told him I had gotten a brace at Walmart and explained how to use that one. He said if that worked for me then great! He also gave me some inexpensive/free ways to alleviate the pain! His office staff was friendly and understanding! I would absolutely send anyone I know to see Dr. Payne!
Took our 12 year-old son with some messed up toenails to Dr. Payne. He was amazingly great. Our son was nervous going in, but the staff was friendly and made him feel comfortable from the moment we walked in.Dr. Payne's bedside manner was excellent. He draped a shield in front of the feet so our son couldn't see the "scary" stuff :) and was extremely concerned with making sure he was comfortable. Before leaving he and his staff were very thorough in making sure we had all the information we needed regarding the care we needed to do at home. They followed up later to make sure things were going well.Would definitely recommend to anyone needing foot care!
Dr. Payne did a fantastic job with my bunionectomy. He listened to me and explained everthing very well with a great bedside manner. The office staff is very hepful, professional and runs on time.
Dr Payne, really lived up to his name,My foot has more PAYNE, than it did before I went in his office. After fusing my Large toe, the screws he used to install a metal plate, were longer than the height of my foot thus causing the screws to come out of the bottom of my foot. he installed 6 screws total, removed two afterwards in his office(not in hospital). billed my insurance company, but not me?, now I have 2 more screws poking through my bottom of my foot that are too long again., Then takes me to collections to pay for the work HE messed up !!,...NICE.Should have went to Dr Benson as orrigionally refered. Thanks Dr. Pain

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
