I paid Devin Hymas for two better lenses, and didn’t choose the basic which my Ins Co. covers.. He placed one better and a basic in the other eye, and charged my insurance and received the money from them.. i started seeing good in one and in the basic lens I been seeing almost as before the surgery… I confronted him, and after months he sent me some of the money he wrongly charged me … the worst was when I asked him to replace the basic with Vividy, he said “No, it’s too risky..” I felt so bad.. defeated and helpless.. What happened to the Oath ..

The office runs like a well oiled machine. You are plesantly greeted then the process begins. Dr. Hymas is warm and very reassuring during the testing process. He is thorough and explains everything.

OMG from the first visit, to my surgery, the care they gave me was top notch. Every time I go into the office I feel like I am their most important patient that they ever had. Dr. Hymas is so upbeat and personable, I love him. Everyone that I have been in contact with is just so sweet. I would recommend anyone that needs an opthalmologist this would be the place to go.

I am all about leaving a great review. However, my complaint is not so much about Dr. Hymas than it is the follow up of his office. I went to see Dr. Hymas on March 16th after 6 days of extreme pain from a Chalazion. Dr. said 9 times out of 10 hot compresses and a steroid ointment would help it clear up in 7 to 10 days. If not, give us a call and we will surgically remove it for you as we know this can be very painful. 8 days later no improvement. I called the office to get in to have it removed only to be told no appointment until MAY 25TH! Really.....Ill cut it out myself. Appt setter says basically "Deal with it". Are you kidding me......you can't take 15 min out your busy day to remove this very painful infection? You want me to wait 2 - 3 months? I just don't get it! Again - I thought Dr. Hymas himself was helpful at initial visit. Follow up - not so much - he probably doesnt even know - his office does. In short - I found someone who will fit me in in 2 days. Guess i have a new Eye Doctor!

My mother, Beryl, says Dr. Hymas is the nicest most caring doctor you could ever have treat you. The cataract surgery he performed turned out very well and she is very happy.

I have been going to Dr. Hymus for many years. He has performed my regular exams, seen me same day when I had a problem, and done cataract surgery on both of my eyes. I trust him explicitly.

Very disappointed in the integrity and business ethics of Lynn Eye Medical Group (LEM). Dr Hymas did my eye exam. I went to EyewearHouse (EWH) to get my glasses made but didn't have the Rx with me. EWH contacted Lynn Eye for the Rx and I had reading, computer and sunglasses made. When the glasses came back it was obvious that Lynn Eye had given Lynn Eye the wrong Rx. Both EWH and I contacted Lynn Eye and we were given a second Rx dramatically different than the first and it did not contain the Rx for computer glasses. I drove back and asked to see Dr. Hymas. When office staff asked for the purpose I told them that I would like Lynn Eye to pay for their mistake and they refused stating that it is "common practice" to make the lenses manufacturer pay for their (the Drs) error. I was shuttled to a different person (not an office manager or supervisor as requested). After having a discussion about the integrity and ethics of paying for your own mistakes, Lynn Eye still refused to pay for their error either by refund or by paying for the new lenses. I drove to a different doctor, I got a 3rd Rx for distance, reading and computer all of which were different from the first 2 Rxs given to me by Lynn Eye. My new glasses are being manufactured now and it remains to be seen whether Lynn Eye will reimburse either me or the mfg company for Lynn Eye's mistake. I doubt that this would ever have happened while Dr. Cooper was practicing. Too bad he's retired.

Dr. Hymas did amazing surgery on both of my eyes to replace the lenses (cataracts) as well as to laser resurface to fix the astigmatisms I always had. I'm 64 and I see better now than I did in my 20s! Dr. Hymas is very thorough and explains everything so there will not be any surprises. I had no pain or any discomfort from either surgery (6 wks apart) and both of my eyes healed perfectly (follow the instructions with the eye drops for the full 4 weeks) and make sure that your insurance doesn't rip you off on the very important ILEVRO NSAID eye drops. Blue Cross / Blue Shield doesn't cover the 3.0ml size and they have a co-payment of $265.00 for the 0.8ml size (which is not enough). The free GoodRx app found a pharmacy (there are many) who sold the 3.0ml size for $275.00 at their usual discount, thanks for nothing Blue Cross / Blue Shield for charging me $1200.00/month plus huge deductibles and then not even covering these important eye drops.
