Gilbert Simoni's Online Review Report Card

To see the doctor there are many insurances that are IN-NETWORK. Being a gastroenterologists, Endoscopies and Colonoscopies procedures are often ordered for diagnostics. His facilities does these procedures, but there is ONLY ONE IN-NETWORK insurance accepted for these procedures, even though its at the same offices he has his office visits, where many other insurances are IN-NETWOTKK. So it always cost you at least $750.00 (much more if you have not met your copay amount) to have. (Unless you happen to have the one insurance that is IN-NETWORK) To summarize, a patient sees Doc Simoni in an office visit being IN-NETWORK for their insurance, many times a Colonoscopy or Endoscopy is ordered and DONE in the same offices, but there is ONLY ONE IN-NETWORK insurance for using the "facilities". Hence costing you at least $750.00, more if you haven't net your OUT-OF-NETWORK Co-pay. It has been this way for the 15 years I saw him as patient. As far as I'm concerned it's a "RACKET"

Dr. Simon I has been my dr for many years when I went into cardiac arrest twice in one night at Los Robles I spent 3&1/2 months there quite a bit on a ventilator wiped out electrical part of my heart.....so after enduring all this my ibs is horrid. To make a long story short I was in the hospital Dr. Simoni was out of town Dr. Danesgar(?) on call...no response to hospital so they called Dr.George who came. Dr. Simoni saw me in the hospital hall & dumped me as a patient. Are we two? Was it my fault he was out of town & the Dr. HE left in charge never answered. I would NEVER have believed this of him he has NO compassion and evidently no interest in your health. He won’t even speak to me I am crushed. I am 69 so I’m trying my best to stay above ground and he could care less. I have never heard from him again and when I called was refused an appointment. First do no harm.....I think he forgot it. I don’t know how he sleeps at night

Dr Gilbert Simoni your responses to all of your negative reviews are appalling!!You have such sarcasm, to all of these patients who needed you to help them out of pain!!You abandoned all of them and then have the gaul to accuse your patients of Abuse and Rudeness!!Your accusations are DANGEROUS and are disgusting you put many patients in danger with their health!!You referred me to other specialties of doctors, and they all have the same horrible reviews!!And now those doctors are getting negative reviews with your negative reviews!Dr AZITA SIMONI you referred me to for dermatology in Newbury Park the staff and so called Dr AZITA SIMONI are a complete joke!! Rude, keep you waiting. Doctor seems confused as well!!DO NOT GO TO THIS dermatology practice they are extremely rude on the phone!!

I see you had the same issue a month ago with this patient Ike T.You don't get it Dr Simoni you seem very defensive if you ask questions about health and on the phone you seem at a list of words!!You do alot of testing so of course you will get a lot of ? about the results!!Dr. Simoni you can't just keep instructing patients eventually you Dr Simoni need to take care of your patients and answer their concerns like any respectful Doctor would do!!You and especially Martha reread what you send out to your patients because being rude to patients will never keep patients!!Everyone please see that already 17 patients of Dr Simoni have all serious complaints about the care they did not received!All 17 prior patients of Dr SIMONI have serious complaints about his medical care and his wife seems to have attacked a lot of people!! People are very very upset with Dr Simoni and Martha Simoni!!Everyone their are now 21 serious and severe complaints against Dr Simoni and his staff!!I have Medicare and you are billing Medicare for services patients are not receiving!!It must be reported, immediately!!Well as I sit here at home still bleeding and having nausea I am able to work on Dr Simoni so called negligent medical care practice

This Doctor doesn't take his patients needs seriously. If the going gets tough he bails. His wife aka front staff is insensitive and talks to the patients and family members with a condescending tone. She controls the office and him. He assumes the worst about people if he is told there may be a concern, which is bad business. It's unfortunate because he could be a fantastic doctor if he cared enough to meet them prior to calling them up with an informed decision and assuming the worst. His NP is caring and kind so thankfully she gets how to show respect from the get go. I pray this Doctor becomes a patient and realizes what it feels like to be treated so poorly. Perhaps being on the other end he would be a better doctor and care for his patients.

Saw this doctor a long time ago when I was very sick with Crohn's disease and severe gallbladder problems. I had lost a lot of weight and that was the only symptom he cared to address. He told me to drink several cans of ensure every day and come to his office every day to get weighed on his scale. Not really convenient and did nothing to address the underlying cause of the weight loss and severe pain I was in. I beat it out of there fast and didn't look back. Terrible experience. Very humiliating.8/2/2021 I am responding to your reply to me below. It is my maiden name. I am now married. That, and the fact that it was 15-20 years ago is why you have no record of me as a patient. I am neither mistaken, nor do I have an incentive to write negative reviews of healthcare providers, as easily evidenced by my numerous positive ones which you conveniently ignored. I have also left glowing reviews for several vets aside from VSEC. I do not appreciate you wishing me "a better life" as I have a wonderful life and currently have a great team of health care providers. Your blatant sarcasm makes it obvious why you are not one of them.

I was very impressed with how professional and personable Dr. Simoni was. You can tell he is genuinely concerned and cares for his patients. I never felt like a number.

Probably the worst practice I've ever been to, front to back. Unfortunately Dr Simoni is equipped with about one solution (which you will see the marketing material of plastered through the entire practice). We may not always realize it, but medicine is a money making business and that was made very clear to me here. If you're looking for a practice to genuinely care for you and your best interest, keep looking.

Not sure how he is allowed to practice

I've had a privilege of meeting Dr. Simoni twice. I met several "star" surgeons and Gis in the area of GERD/Reflux. Dr. Simoni is the most detailed, CAUTIOUS (to save YOU), honest, and caring doctor of all that I've met. He takes time to explain the issue, offers options, willing to relay to other specialists when needed. If I were to have a procedure like TIF/AntiReflux Surgery or make big digestive health decisions I wouldn't make any decision before having it ran by Dr. Simoni. THANK YOU FOR BEING A REAL DOCTOR = someone who remembers that each patient is a human being. Most doctors lose a sense of human touch. Dr. Simoni has not. And that is priceless. It MAY save your life.
