Peter Kim's Online Review Report Card

I do not recommend Dr. Kim. After waiting for moths for the appointment, I took my mother there and it was a complete waste of time. He pays no attention to the tests you provide, such as a CT scan and blood tests or the patient's other health problems to come up with a logical diagnostic. If you fail the test where he asks you to remember 5 words and then after another 5 or 6 trivial questions you don't remember the words and you fail to answer the questions, he automatically diagnoses you with Alzheimer, even though dementia can have other physical causes such as strokes or swollen brain ventricles. He just says Alzheimer because that is "the most common cause". Any logical person would have come up with a better diagnostic. I don't know how he became a neurologist.

After waiting months for the appointment for my mother, all he did is your typical memory test where he asks you to remember 5 words, then you need to answer some trivial questions and then repeat the 5 words. Of course my mother failed and his diagnosis was Alzheimer for dementia cause "that's your most common cause". That's it, no blood tests, nothing else. I had to point him to the previous CT scan test that showed that she had strokes, swollen brain ventricles, blood tests and ask a ton of questions because the condition is most probably caused by strokes. Any doctor and any person with logic would have figured that out if they cared. He put an obviously incorrect diagnostic. I don't know how he became a neurologist.

went to this doctor a few years ago....terrible experience.

I saw Dr.Kim at the Simi Valley office location. I am still in utter disbelief that this person actually went through medical school. The incompetence of him and the staff I encountered I literally just cannot believe ! The five star reviews for him are obviously very fake bc everything they say is worded so fake and also the complete opposite of the experience you will get at this office. I waited THREE HOURS for a procedure that I was told would take 20-30 minutes for my dad (an EEG) I am not kidding you guys the girl giving the EEG was literally WATCHING A YOUTUBE VIDEO about how to do the procedure while she was doing it on him !!!! They had literally no idea what they were doing and kept saying "oops oops" . Later the doctor came in and said that they found nothing from the EEG... big shock. He said my dad was "fine". And I listed off his long list of neurological problems including family history of Alzheimer's, and the doctor said that maybe he has some rare condition that he doesn't know about. THATS IT. Literally just stands there with nothing to say. No insight. I ask questions and he says he doesn't know and "I only know what textbooks say" . I have never been more sure that a doctor did not know what he was doing in my entire life. Such a giant waste of time I am so angry!

Dr. Kim is a very supportive and knowledgeable doctor.

Great Doctor! Courteous staff. Everything was done professionally and the best part... when I got there the appointment was taken on time. Doctor also took time to explain what he was performing and the reason these tests were ordered. I would recommend Dr. Peter Kim to all my family and friends. He is outstanding! Thank you Dr. Kim!

My experience with Dr. Kim was very positive and I think he is a wonderful neurologist. He called me when results were in for the MRI's that needed to be done. He was very reassuring in the fact that it was ok and would like to follow up to explain them. His staff is just as wonderful and kind. He was very thorough with me and listen to my concerns. I am so glad I was referred to him by my doctor. I highly recommend Dr. Peter Kim.

I was referred to Dr. Kim by my doctor. I was glad she told me about him. He was very kind and really listen to my concerns. he ordered the test MRI testing which in the 4 months of dealing with an unknown illness was necessary. The staff really went above their duty to make sure I got in to the imaging place where I felt the most comfortable. All in all I highly recommend Dr. Kim. He is the best!!
