Dr. Sanchez listens to his patients and works well with them.
Doctors and staff treat you very well, I trust and respect there knowledge on my condition.
Se Mira muy bien este lugar para las personas que tenemos cualquier cáncer
My wife has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer and she went to see the Oncologist, Dr. Juan Sanchez at the Institute of Oncologist, Thousand Oaks, CA. It was a very pleasant experience given the fact that she was under extreme stress because of recent lumpectomy done on her and she now has to undergo chemo and other treatment.Dr. Sanchez spent all the time needed to discuss the various aspects of the disease and treatment with patience and care. We were very happy with the Doctor, but not so happy with the Administration of the office. However, my wife ended up continuing the treatment with UCLA Health who also happened to be very caring to our utmost satisfaction. All in all, we were extremely happy with Dr. Sanchez but ended up going to UCLA Health because that suited my wife's needs and convenience better. We would have given the Doctor 5 Star but because the Administration was not to our satisfaction, overall, we gave the outfit a 4 star.
Communication? That's an understatement. There is none. Waiting for a call back for one week. We have a referral from insurance but owner has to okay first ?Ok what. My husband has prostate cancer and has gone thru many procedures. They have the referral. What are they waiting for. Not a good sign.
Really Poor Communication. Very pretty brochures that overpromise and underdeliver.Front office person (Vanessa when I Called the afternoon of 10/19/18) said there was no way to get test results online. When I spoke to the Dr's PA before we left our last visit, I was told differently, that there is a web Portal with test results available 24-7 at our convenience. We have been calling all week since Sunday when we left a message with the after hours number asking for test results so that we can adjust our diet and medication. We setup Web Portal. Blood tests were done in September. Doctor has not reviewed them as of 10/17/18!!! Not showing up in web Portal. By Wednesday, no call back. We call Wednesday left a message, no call back. Wednesday night Left a message with the after hours number again. No callback Thursday. Finally Friday around noon we get a call back, but no data, just call us back. Do you know how hard it is to get your PA on the phone, let alone test results??? I had to call a Manager!!! The Office Manager got the PA on the phone. Finally I was connected to the PA on the phone and she says the results were signed off by the Dr. on 10/8/18. But they are not showing up on the web portal and when we can't get them online and when we call we don't get a call back until 5 days later with no meaningful information. I had to call 3 different numbers to get a hold of somebody who knows what they are doing. 1) 1-805-409-3088 the Thousand Oaks office we go to, which doesn't know how to return phone calls or get their messages from their after hours service. So frustrating I have to ask for a Manager who is, wait for it... offsite! (???!!!) (She doesn't know the clowns behind the desk on their cellphones aren't calling the after hours service to get their messages...great! how long has that been going on?)2) 1-323-278-4400 - Offsite Manager's number. I get her on the phone and relay what has transpired in getting simple blood test results back in a timely fashion. She gets the PA on the phone 3) (562-232-0500) the PA for our Thousand Oaks Dr. is in (and this is not a cell number it is an business number) Area Code 562 - Northern Orange County. (recipe for broken communication - separate people in separate locations not knowing what the other is or isn't doing) I give her an earful and finally...the ball starts rolling. This isn't that hard people. Communicate: with the Patients and the Associated Testing Facilities - this is what you are being paid for. We pay $14,000.00 a year to get family medical coverage and this is what we get??? Wait, it gets better...When went for the blood test (Lab Corp), the technician stuck the needle completely through the vein, not once, but twice, causing internal bleeding and a lot of pain. Then promptly does 2 of 3 blood tests, and not the important ones, then never sends the results. But we are billed twice for it. (Sighhhhh.....)They have one last chance to get this right, then I am voting with my feet and going elsewhere. "The Oncology Institute for Hope and Innovation" my A**!The Institute for Overpromising Clowns and Miscommunication is an accurate description.Do your homework on wherever you go first. Don't be sorry.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
