List of Akiko Suzuki's Reviews
I had a great experience here! I usually don't write reviews, but since I read some bad reviews (mainly talking about the rude receptionist), I thought I need to write it! I went to this office in May 2022 for the first time. The receptionist was nice (I guess the rude one is gone now), no problem. The nurse seemed very busy but efficiently working and she explained me the procedures well. Dr. Suzuki was professional, but with warm personality. She took time to listen to me and gave me some advice. I went there for the yearly check up this time. I could see the result on the patient portal online after a couple of days. So you don't need to make another appointment to hear the result from doctor. (If you have issues in the result, they will call you.)I'm glad I chose Dr. Suzuki for my primary care doctor. Japanese is my first language, so I feel easy and relieved being seen by a Japanese doctor too.
I Don’t know if Doctor Suzuki ever check this report, I personally think she should. She is my primary Doctor and I am traveling out side of country and need medicine refills. Her Receptionist not only hang up the phone 3 times after I request her to make me an appointment with my doctor, she said she won’t because she doesn’t like me. I don’t know how can a receptionist make important decisions like that over a Doctor and not only that, she said if I keep calling her she will terminated me from that clinic. I don’t have enough time, I am flying day after tomorrow. So I beg her to give me an appointment so I can solve my problem and she say she have nothing for me, if she do that will be the day I will be flying. Doctor Suzuki, you are important to us and you are our Doctor. What part of that you don’t understand????
Dr Akiko Suzuki is professional and nice but the receptionist, Namiko is extremely rude. I was shocked of how unprofessional a receptionist could be working at a doctor's office! If you decide to see Dr. Suzuki, be prepared to receive an inadequate service from Namiko.
I would not recommend This Clinic. The receptionist does not speak english well-Japanese. My insurance has this doctor as my primary care physician( it is printed on the card ) the receptionist said I was not, they were not accepting new patients, and I should call back in Sept - 3 months away. I told her about my insurance, the card had this doctor,... she said they do not accept my insurance.
I do not recommend this office. I think Dr Suzuki and nurses know what they are doing. But the receptionist is rude and horrible, and the office rules appears to make patients pay more than they need to. Also, they could not verify if my insurance covers or not after I gave them all the information needed for them to check. They made me call a third party (not insurance company) to verify. Please see others' reviews for "The Suzuki Clinic".
Dr. Suzuki is kind and listens to your every concern. She will try hard to find answers to your ailments and concerns and conduct proper testing and recommend other specialists who can assist. So glad that Dr Arita recommended me to Dr. SUZUKI as my primary physician when I am in CA. Her office is impeccably clean and her nurse M is the sweetest person ever.
Nice doctor's office especially for predominantly native Japanese speakers since Dr. Akiko Suzuki is a Japanese-English bilingual speaker so she will be able to use Japanese medical terms rather than Latin, classical Greek anglisized medical terminology that even we English speakers find difficult to comprehend. Pleasant, almost all pristine white interior. Quiet, serene, no music even soothing meditational. By appointment only. Staff is also Japanese-English bilingual. They are friendly, conscientious, gracious. Dr. Suzuki is not my physician, but I go to the office often due to aging relatives for any medically related issues.
I would not recommend this clinic. The receptionist is the most rude person. The feeling I got was if you didn't speak Japanese, you wouldn't be given the best service. I never saw the doctor, so I can not say how good or bad she is as a doctor. I had such a bad experience from the receptionist , I decided to cancel my appointment and walked out. Patients beware!!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
