Alfred Marrone's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Marrone performed two very successful surgeries to enable me to open my eyes more. His nurses are kind and professional, and the whole experience with his office has been fantastic. The surgeries have been an answered prayer and have vastly improved my peripheral vision.

Dr. Marrone did a partial lid upper blepharoplasty on both eyes. He's not a good surgeon. He sewed my left eye too tight and took out too much skin. Immediately after he put the last stitch in my left eye I told him it was too tight. He said it was swelling I had to tape my left eye down at night for months after the surgery because it wasn't closing and would drift open at night. But what's worse is that my eyesight in my left eye never returned normal. Would not recommend him (All IMHO)

Immediately after he put the last stitch in my left eye I told him it felt much tighter than my right eye. He said it was swelling I had to tape my left eye down for months at night after the surgery because it wasn't closing and would drift open at night. But what's worse is that my eyesight in my left eye never returned to the way it was before the surgery, because I drove that night 1 and 1/2 hours after the surgery into the headlights and taillights, and since my left eye was sewn too tight and still paralyzed by the anesthesia, it could not blink or close against the lights. Dr. Marrone said it would be OK to drive home after the surgery because the surgery was not going deep. He was rude on my post-op visits as I continued to complain that my left eye was too tight, there was a popping noise in it when I raised my lids, that there was a diagonal scar on my left eye AND that eyesight was not returning to normal. He said my eyes were just dry. I had a very hard time getting my file from him. He would only allow the first 3 pages to be copied and withheld the last page from me for two weeks. I am reporting him to the Medical Board on these and other issues.

I've been a patient of Dr. Marrone's for approximately 15 yrs. although he's very nice. I'm tired of scheduling an appointment for a routine eye examine, and ultimately end up in his office for three & four hours. At his advancing age, he's made his practice into a social visit keeping his patients captives listening to a variety of stories re travel, restaurants, etc. I'm done. If your time is valuable, move on to someone else.

Dr. Marrone and his staff were the best and I recommend him to anyone looking for a wonderful opthamologist.

A very skilled as well as gentle surgeon. Office staff is very efficient as well. I've been an operating room nurse for over 40 years and I have utmost respect for this physician.

He was my second opinion and SO glad I went to him! First dr wanted to do unneeded surgery and Dr. Marrone instead did a relatively minor surgery that repaired all without permanent scarring and MUCH less expensively.

Dr. Marrone helped me a lot, particularly when he did the surgery in his clinic in order for me to save money.Thank you so much Dr. Marrone.God Bless you!
