List of Aqdas Kuraishi's Reviews
This doctor and person is unmoral and unethical. There are many complaints about him on yelp.
I don't know about ya'll but I truly believe that Dr. Kuraishi was the greatest doctor of all. He has prescribed and filled my meds as needed. I have been doing well while under his care for almost 15 years. If any mistakes, he corrected it! I mean no one is perfect just remember he is human too! Unless you expect him to be "God". Now that he is retired, I tried other doctor there that took over his office. And she is "undoing" everything Dr Kuraishi has prescribed me w/ meds for migraine & anxiety. And I haven't been quite well after she took over! When Dr K was still in practice he has prescribed me meds for migraine that had "VERY" small amt of codeine, anti anxiety meds plus a 2nd supplemental anxiety med he prescribed me (as needed) & which the new Dr. there refused to refill even though I have a history and its on my chart! Instead she refers me to a psychiatrist to get the 2nd anti anxiety one prescribed! WT-! I already suffered 2 panic attacks and had to go to Urgent Care! Doctor at Urgent Care prescribed me a small amount of Xanax ( which is also similar to Ativan & in the same family) and now I need to follow up w/new PCP whom Dr. K knows well. ( Here comes an extra medical bill) Also please note, I am "VERY" responsible when it comes to taking controlled meds (even small amt that contain codeine) and take them as needed. I can even go w/o it for long period of time and might even let them expire! I'm not like those TV celebrities who get hooked on them and who have taken 10 or 20 pills a day on a 30 day supply! Or even 60 or 90 day supply if prescribed! My family friends are Nurses and they can tell whether I was addicted or not! And they see how well I am & how well I looked! They also suggested that I try switch off momentarily to OTC Motrin liquid gels for headaches or any pain and hold off on migraine meds w/codeine. At times it works but when weather changes abruptly(from hot to cold or vice versa) thats when I need to take migraine meds w/codeine & I dont take them often esp like those celebrities who abused it! I know my body, and how I feel, so I know what works for me! I also drink plenty of water mainly w/alkaline 9.5ph! I think new doctors who take over patients from previous their doctors, should follow history on a patients chart & not create a new chaos! So what if they follow what the previous doctors had prescribed you previously? God forbid if something happened to a patient, I dont think it will be the new doctor's fault! He or she followed how the previous doctor's treated patient and noticed no problem w/the patient & patient was well. However, suggestions could always be welcomed on prescribing these controlled meds less or alternating it w/o codeine or other ingredient, IDK. But if patient requests meds w/ codeine, I think the current doctor should be able to prescribe it to patient when patient requests it & they need it! And esp if they've taken it before and have a history. Dr K in my case, had very good strategy in treating me and kept me well while I was still under his care! So Thank You! And Thank you Dr. Aqdas K!
a couple of days ago i submitted a medication renewal to my pharmacy and i never got a response from them and when i called they told me that the doctor refused to renew them....i called the office and was told that i need to see the doctor in order to renew the prescribtion ..... that person is holding my blood sugar and cholestrol medications untill he sees me
I have been a patient of Dr. Kuraishi for well over 20 years. He has always been attentive and professional. My prescriptions have always been called in promptly to my pharmacy. Additionally, he has always referred me to competent specialists.
My entire family are patients of Dr. K. I credit him for saving both my mom and father’s lives. He knows what he’s doing and he is the most personable doctor you will ever meet.
Love this office. In and out. He's professional and to the point yet very friendly.

Incompetent arrogant buffoon. Oh my goodness when I started reading Monique's review, I honestly thought that maybe I had already written my own and forgot!! I switched to Kuraishi because my insurance changed. I asked for my blood pressure meds that I've been taking for 10 years. Of course -- you need to come in for office visit. O.K. But he only prescribes 1 of my 2 meds. He made it sound like just call in if your BP is still high and he would call in the other med. Sure enough it was still high and I asked change please just prescribe my other med. No -- you need to come in and see him again. 2nd visit he says he'll give me a one pill that has both meds. OK. When I call the pharmacy I find out that he cut the dosage in half! When I call the office -- oh he said you have to come in again on two weeks!! I'm not making this up! So I'm telling at the poor receptionist demanding my meds on desperation and apologizing to her at the same time. I'm really yelling at the quack doctor. Finally he calls a couple hours later and leaves a message. He called in one of the meds I requested, and said since you're not happy with our service please choose another doctor. So he fired me!! This arrogant idiotic moron. So I called back and left him a message telling him he was a disgrace to his profession and that instead of firing me he should fire himself. What I suspect is that he's basically trying to rack up dollars by scamming patients into unnecessary appointments. I will b calling into my insurance to report him. He really needs to examine himself.
I saw Dr. Kuraishi on two different occasions.During my last visit, I spoke with him about needing a refill for my prescription soon. He told me to call the office when I needed it and that He would call-in my prescription to the pharmacy. So, when I needed the prescription, I called his office. After one of his staff members relayed the message to him, I was told that he had said that I would have to return to the office for another visit in order for me to obtain my prescription. If that was going to be the case, he could have just written the prescription for me when I told him about it during my office visit. Also, after my last visit, there was a miscommunication on the part of one of his staff members. Dr. Kuraishi then called and left a voice message for me regarding the miscommunication. His voice message did not clear up any confusion nor was it a friendly message. Afterward, I realized that Dr. Kuraishi lacks a great deal of professionalism. Most of the staff members I interacted with in the office were friendly, however, I will not be returning to this doctor's office for my care.
This review is for the office staff. I'm not looking for the smartest office staff, but at least I want smart staff to be there.I'm a Dr. Brown's patient and did a blood test at a lab. The lab sent the result to Dr. Brown's office but all the office staff said was "we haven't received anything yet." I kept calling them every day and after a week, one of the staff said "oh, we have received it a week ago!" They took a week just to find the test result that was sent by fax. Yesterday, Dr. Brown sent me to Polak Imaging Pavilion to take x-ray. After 2 hours, Polak Imaging Pavilion faxed the x-ray images to Dr. Brown's office. But the office staff, again, said that they haven't received anything yet. When I told her that she needs to find it because it is in the office, she HUNG UP ON ME. The same person gave me the number of ENT (ear, nose, throat) doctors when I asked the number of audiologists. She said "what does an audiologist do? Is that an eye doctor?"One more thing. Last week I called the office to set up an appointment for a TB test (I told her that I need a TB test) and she told me to come on Thursday. When I saw Dr. Brown, he said that Thursday is the only day they don't do a TB test and that the office staff should have known it. The person who made my appointment said that she realized it right after she put me on Thursday. Why didn't she call me back then to reschedule my appointment??? She had three days to call me!!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
