Cortica's Online Review Report Card

First off let me say my child benefited from attending Cortica! We were able to see progress in his speech which was awesome! However, this is my child's first time in a environment with children and other germs. So of course he's going to get sick. Unfortunately he was I'll many times which lead to him missing classes. I mean what kind of parent would I be if I sent my sick child in and infect all the other children . This week my son was diagnosed with influenza B which is contagious through poop and vomit. Pretty sure he got it here. I emailed and said he'd be out the rest of the week with proof of visit and a note saying he'd be out.  I get a call from the Cortica doctor. Saying.... Hey it's Dr.  I was calling him in regards to _⁠_⁠_ _⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_ _⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_ from Portica him I was calling because you know _⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_ we've had some issues with our speech therapy department being you know kind of booked up really quite quite a ways out um and um I think so what I've been doing is trying to you know talk to the patient that I had recommended speech therapy two and mentioned that would probably be best to find speech therapy in particular at a neighboring you know facility . My son was indirectly kicked out because he's been sick due to the new environment and germs he's exposed to. Clearly they are all about MONEY here not the well being of my child. Don't bring your children here! They do not care. Oh and if your toddler is sick they ask to do a telehealth appointment. So they can still collect money even though your child probably will tune out doing a class on zoom. What 2 year old that's sick wants to do a zoom meeting ....

my daughter attended cortica for ABA services for 4 months along with speech, OT and music therapy. scheduling was good and everything was smooth sailing for the first month but then they called me about scheduling changes due to therapists scheduling or something of that sort. thats when it all went down hill. My daughter had set start and end time for this new schedule and the first 2 weeks were no problem but then they started complaining about me not arriving 10 minutes before the pick up time to discuss what she did throughout the day , yet every other time and day she never came out 10 minutes before, EVER. so i stared coming 10 minutes before and yet no one person brought her out or even discussed what they are working on for my daughter. There communication with scheduling sucks. there was even days where they did not tell me she was getting out later than usual so i was waiting in the parking lot for 1 hour with my new born baby. Even when they do discuss at the end of her sessions  , its the most vague discussions. "she did good today." was the most i got . The parent meetings are a waste of time. its me stating what concerns i have (which are the same every time) and them giving me little to no advice . Its almost as if my insurance pays for babysitting service . then we were recommended to get a genetics test all for a whole lotta nothing. waste of time.

Professional, compassionate and knowledgeable. A comprehensive team of providers that oversee every aspect of your child. True advocates for the children! I feel SO grateful to have found Cortica!

Dr. Malla was super kind and helpful!! Really made our experience wonderful! He understood our concerns and was considerate of our needs and explained the services in a very respectful and nurturing manner. I could tell he genuinely cares for the children and wants to ensure he is treating the whole child and their well-being. Thank you Dr. Malla!

Absolutely, the most positive therapy sessions my child has ever received!

Not a fan of their business model of charge first just to basically do a check in. I preferred it back when they used be owned by a different company, I forget what it's called

The Cortica team has exceeded my expectations. What sets them apart from other behavioral companies is they have a highly trained group of knowledgeable professionals working together as a team all under one roof. Their clinic was impressive as well. Different specialties such as Speech, O.T., Behavioral therapists as well as their Medical doctors all collaborated together as a team to create an efficient knowledgeable approach towards understanding the child and his unique complexity that challenges him. Overall, our experience with Cortica has been truly amazing.

My kids feel like family here, and they are making so much progress across the board!

Cortica has changed our lives. Their BCBA's and BI are amazing and I have seen HUGE changes in my son, all positive. We LOVE Amanda, Danyel, Allen and Lawrence. Thank you for everything you have done for us. Amanda thank you for always listening to me and helping our family come up with solutions.
