After being diagnosed with lung cancer and ruling out Valley fever by the ER doctors at Torrance Memorial even after telling them what I knew I had. Dr. Rand helped me with the right diagnosis of Cocci and helped put me at ease and gave me hope for my new fight with Valley Fever

Dr. Rand was my physician for many years. A more caring, dedicated, and knowledgeable physician I have yet to meet. Unfortunately, I could not take him with me when I moved to Washington five years ago. Thank you to the staff who got my records to Harborview, etc.

Dr. Rand was my infectious disease specialist at Torrance Memorial when I was inpatient. He was very knowledgeable and explained everything to me and made sure I understood what every aspect of my treatment was going to be. Excellent bedside manner. I would recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Rand is truly a remarkable doctor. I first saw him when I was admitted to the hospital after failed outpatient care: four weeks of IV antibiotics that were ineffective in treating my severe cellulitis. Furthermore, I'm a hard stick. A REALLY hard stick. Two days into my first week of infusions, the hospital recommended a midline which ended up failing due to dvt, and I ended up having to get a PICC line put in just to be able to administer my antibiotics. No other doctors could figure this out and it perpetuated for almost six weeks.....and Dr. Rand and his elegant medicine cured me in 3 days. Then, when I ended up leaving the hospital AMA (due to a bad nursing interaction) i couldn't get my own primary care physician to remove the line, or even call me back for two weeks. If I hadn't known all the risks and care for that particular kind of line, I easily could have gotten EXTREMELY ill or even died. My insurance finally approved me to go to Dr. Rand for follow up care, and the office staff called me back to confirm my info and make an appointment for the next available day.....they did bloodwork, and painlessly pulled the line the same day. I am extremely impressed with him AND the office staff. I wish I could make him my primary care doctor! Thanks for everything.

I feel very fortunate to have been in the care of Dr. Rand and his team. Not only did he correctly diagnose my illness, but he also identified a secondary infection. I found Dr. Rand to be extremely knowledgeable, caring and personable.

The physicians, PA, nurses and all staff are knowledgeable, efficient, caring and courteous! They made an unpleasant medical treatment comfortable and pleasant as possible. 14 days of treatment! I will actually miss seeing their smiling faces. From a retired nurse this says confidence!
