David Slutsky's Online Review Report Card

I normally do not leave Yelp reviews but my experience at Dr. Slutskys office was such a great one that I had to share and encourage everyone that is looking for a good Dr. to go there! I am extremely apprehensive when visiting any type of Drs office so I really appreciated the front office staff for being so welcoming and understanding! The front office manager Ana was so professional and took the time to explain how my insurance works and was very patient with all of my questions! Inside Dr. Slutsky and his assistant Andrew got down to business and were quick and efficient!! Over all this is a great place and if I could I would give them more stars! I even love how they decorate their office and show so much holiday spirit! Good job Dr. Slutsky and staff for providing a safe and welcoming environment!

I would definitely recommend this doctor to all my friends and family my husband had wrist surgery with Dr. Slutsky and all I can say is wow his treatment of my husband went above and beyond his staff is amazing and very helpful Ana especially really helped us when we were having an issue with our insurance!

It has nothing to do with the Dr. Slutsky but more to do with the Office manager Ana. She is extremely rude and condescending. My husband requested to speak to the doctor to provide feedback being that we both are patients of the doctor and we have spent thousands of dollars with the surgeries he has performed on us and according to Ana, he said no he would not speak to us. Which is his right.I spoke to Ana today 2/2/2021 about her actions & she got Defensive. Mind you my tone was at 2 meaning I was very polite. I even asked her that if she cared to listen to the feedback a patient can provide & she said no b/c she disagreed. How can a practice improve their patient customer service if the office manager isnt willing to listen. Even the doctor doesnt take time to listen to his patients who are the reason he has a practice. Without us, he would not own his practice . Some people need to humble themselves. According to Ana Dr. Slutsky said if I didnt want to return he was fine with it. I will do just that. Why give my money to someone who feels I am not of importance. Im leaving this review for those who want to seek medical service here beware of the level of professionalism that you will encounter. Everyone on here is right about Ana. She is rude. My advise for Dr. Slutsky is to remove her from her position & bring back the old office manager who had manners.

This is not about the doctor but about his front office staff.I have never in my entire life dealt with such rude, inconsiderate, and condescending people. I called trying to make an appointment for my daughter who is a returning patient. His office staff, namely, Ana, supposedly the manager,  could not find my file and refused to schedule an appointment. Unfortunately, due to this incident and numerous attempts at scheduling an appointment, I am left with no other option but to report the entire practice to the Office for Civil Rights at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services because I feel this is based on discrimination and to file a complaint with the Medical Board.It is a sad state of affairs when an office manager decides who needs to see Dr. Slutsky and denies an appointment to a patient who is in pain and in dire need of treatment.Shame on you, Ana. I sincerely hope you never encounter someone like you when a loved one is in need of treatment and desperately needs to see a doctor. I truly hope you find someone who is compassionate, actually someone with humanity, nothing like you.  Shame on you and I hope you sleep well at night.

He was 40 min late. It didnt bother me a lot; even my fav OBGYN doctor is late due to previous patient. But what bothered me was his lack of compassion and worst chair(bed)side manner. He stood up from his chair and went outside in the middle of history taking. I had to realize he was done. I heard what my diagnosis was and what I should do for my pain when I asked him after he handed the medical documents to the nurse on the check out counter. What he said was just reduce what makes you hurt. Are you serious? My husband with no medical background can say better than you dr.Slutsky.Maybe he is the fine hand and wrist doctor in town but if you want to be heard about your pain, he is NOT your doctor.

Best hand doctor ever! I went to Dr. Lim first at Torrance Memorial and he did my surgery however he did not have the best bed side manner. Dr. Slutsky is very straight forward and gives you the extreme truth to kick you in the butt to get your hand back in shape. If you are looking for an OT thats certified in hand therapy I would go to Holly there! She is amazing because I went to a regular OT person for my hand and it didnt go well. Holly saw me for two months and fixed what the OT therapist couldnt do. She has pushed my soft tissue along that I can put my hand in a fist now in my right dominant hand. The office staff Harley and Margaret (office manager for Dr. Slutsky) is the best! Harley was very professional and Margaret was very informational. If I knew this team first I would have made an appointment with them instead of going to anyone else. Please message me if you have any questions. Im still recovering in my right dominant hand that was broken in a car accident. So anything to do with hand surgery and therapy I would go to them.

Wonderful doctor, I wish I still had Blue Cross so I could go back to him.  Took care of my problem without hesitation.  Highly recommendable.  If only he took LA Care Applecare. Ive lost so many wonderful Doctors because of losing medical due to D.V., having to go on MediCal because I cant work due to my disability.  Take full advantage of becoming a patient of a wonderful Doctor like Dr.David Slutsky if you have insurance His practice accepts. I took my husband here due to it being close to our house and recommended by our insurance. Staff is  friendly and try to get you in and out. However, he is impetuous and at the end of the day you can tell he just wants a pay out. Our first experience should have been a red flag. He used our age to judge and conduct his fractured finger as if it was nothing. I understand you seen worst cases but the sympathy was not there. He carelessly cut his hand while taking off the cast although the assistant mentioned it was hard to get a cut. Its very disappointing that a doctor in such field would act in such manner. If your patience and love for what you do is no longer there Dr Slutsky you should consider retirement. Billing is a nightmare, zero effort to be contacted.

Very dry personality, I was not to fond of him. Unfortunately I was sent here because my workmans comp insurance sent me here. I was trying to explain my symptoms, but he kept cutting me off. I dont think he took the time to understand me or what I was feeling very robotic. I had a bad first impression. His staff was very accommodating and very sweet, too bad Dr. Slutsky is the total opposite. I would not recommend him. Go somewhere else

Bedside manner of a card board box, demeaning, dismissive, and all too entitled. Thank you, next.
