David Stern's Online Review Report Card

We switched insurance plans, and as a result, I had to find a new primary care physician. After much research I landed on Dr. David Stern. At my first appointment Dr. Stern kept me waiting one hour and twenty minutes. I completely understand how it is common to be kept waiting in the medical field; as doctors must often address patients with priority health matters. What I found particularly agitating was how the doctor made zero apologies. I made the decision to respectfully point out my dissatisfaction. This did not bode well. He seemed clearly agitated and proceeded with the appointment without taking any accountability. I subsequently visited Dr. Stern about three more times. Each visit was bland and lacked anything resembling warmth. After several months I experienced a concerning issue that caused me to set an appointment. This time I chose to visit with nurse practitioner Esmeralda Guerrero, to avoid Dr. Stern. Unfortunately, my visit with Ms. Guerrero was not any better. I explained my concern with my hand, she took one glance , and diagnosed..."it's nothing major, we can give you a cortisone shot if you'd like." I replied, "Excuse me? Why would you recommend cortisone without getting to the crux of the matter with an x-ray?" Her response, "I've seen this before," I have never in my life had a healthcare professional diagnose a concern by simply looking at it. At this point I collected my belongings and exited the examining room. I later phoned to share my experience with the office manager who expressed no interest. One would think this would have been the end of my relationship with this office, but no...after researching a few other doctors, I decided it would be more convenient to stay put. When I went in for my next appointment, I was told by the receptionist, who was very apologetic and kind, that Dr. Stern had discharged me after learning I had researched other physicians. I thought this was a rather extreme action, nonetheless, I thanked the receptionist. It would have been great to have been made privy to this decision, prior to awaking at 7:00 am, and taking time off work. In any event, I obviously chose a different physician. Thank you Dr. Alexander Ellis and assistant Christopher for OUTSTANDING service and BIG thanx to David Stern, Esmeralda Guerrero and unsympathetic office manager! Everything surely does happen for a reason, I could not be happier with Dr. Ellis and his team!!!

Dr Stern is my new doctor and great so far! I really enjoy his demeanor and his staff is helpful. Easy to get an appointment. Glad I found him!

Been going to Dr. Stern for over 10 years. He is the best! He's not overbearing and controlling like my doctor prior to him. He's very easy going and attentive.

Going to Dr Stern's office is like going to a government agency like the license bureau. Ridiculous procedures pushed by snotty front desk people being rude behind their masks and supported by Dr Stern. Will never go again.
