Yes, I think DOs can do a lot...or thought. Until our experience with Derek Browne, DO.Made a virtual appointment by selecting one of the designated time slots, filled out all the paperwork on the memorialcare my chart, confirmed appointment, everything. Come time for our appointment on Zoom...not let in. Okay, people are late, we get it. We wait. 5 minutes. Not a big deal. 10 minutes. Okay, well this is getting ridiculous. Call the memorialcare people, connected to a nice lady who was also confused as to why he wasn't on. Put us on hold to get in touch with him. Derek Browne, DO jumped on Zoom 15 minutes after the appointment without his camera on, with a sleepy voice.Uuh sure. But we had a concern, he ordered the blood test we wanted so we thought he fit the bill for "okay".So the medical concern we saw him for occurred again, and wanted to followup with Derek Browne, DO for potential next steps since blood work seemed normal. Maybe potential tests we could look into, maybe referrals who we could see again if he feels it's out of his league. Made a virtual appointment for the next afternoon, get a call from the front desk of the office the next morning because Derek Browne, DO canceled the appointment and "says you should go to the emergency room."First of all, you were talking to the person who you are telling to go to the emergency room. The concern is not an emergency, the concern is trying to figure out why it happens. Can you even imagine what going to the emergency room would look like?"Oh hi, I have been experiencing [issue]""Are you experiencing it now?""No""How are you feeling now?""Fine"Do you see how what's going on was not an emergency Derek Browne, DO? Do you see how going to the emergency room is not what should be done? Do you see, perhaps, maybe if you tried even an ounce, you could maybe not even need to use what education you received for your DO and just used common sense to suggest next steps, order other tests perhaps; make some suggestions for specialists we could see?But whatever, we called an MD doctor friend who referred us another MD doctor friend and had an appt at Cedars-Sinai within the week. But do you see, Derek Browne, DO, how when we described what was going on, they didn't say "go to the emergency room." They did, however, laugh at what Derek Browne, DO said and the first response from each of them was "drop him".So yes, I had thought DOs could do a lot. But either all DOs are dolling out substandard care and attention or it is just Derek Browne, DO. Or both. But it is definitely not neither. To anyone reading this and considering him, you deserve better.Also, to the people who work for him. I realize we all need to work, but we are living in a time where you can choose where you work. You could choose not to work for someone misrepresenting himself as an MD, but by choosing to do so and carrying out his orders, I think it says loads.FYI: He/his office tried to pass himself off as an MD. He's still listed as an "MD" on the other review site. Just to confirm: he is listed as DO on MemorialCare, as well as the bill we got from his office. That he/his office were passing him off as an MD online speaks to exactly the type of doctor and office it is.

Very happy with the care provided by Dr. Browne. Don't hesitate to try him out. A nice location, staff and doctor for the whole family.

I went to this doctor for a physical, he just introduced himself and left, I was then taken to another room to draw blood, the person who drew my blood poked me several time, ultimately collapsing my vein, causing a hematoma, then asked to draw blood from my other arm, ultimately, no apology for injuring my arm.Usually, the doctor is responsible enough to go over the test results with you and advise you of what area needs to be worked on, not this dude, the copy of the results usually gets mailed to you along with a doctor going over it with you, but this guy expects you to look at your results on their site, without any knowledge of what to look for or what's the normal level is, if you want him to go over it with you, which is a whole new visit.They tried telling me that my insurance is no good, and kept sending me a bill for $400 and even threatened to forward it to the collection agency, my insurance assured me that it is effective and called the billing office, they told me that it's been taken care of, and I shouldn't be receiving anymore bills, to my surprise, the bill continued, I had to get the supervisor involved to get this resolved.Do yourself a favor and stay away, look for a better option, you'll regret coming here

An uncaring doctor with snarky staff. I called 3 times to let them know I was on the way for them to look at my baby. I get there (yes, late) and the doctor wouldn’t see my son; my son whose finger was infected;I drove 20+ miles and the 405 was terrible and they wouldn’t see him. Who doesn’t see a child. And who doesn’t help a child whose parent is willing to pay for them to be seen. So saddened by this experience

He was great. I don’t have the greatest way of taking care of my health. He was non-judgmental and just wanted to get started on taking care of my health. He was very informative but didn’t pressure you to participate in any procedure unless you wanted to! Recommend Highly

This is Ray Marcello. My daughter is a patient of Dr Browne and we love him . He is very patient and listens to your problems and doesn’t rush you. I recommend him to my brother and he also thought he was great. I just changed my doctor to Dr brown and he was amazing as usual. Next I also recommend him to my mom.He is now our family doctor. Thank you Dr Browne.
