I was a long time patient, but it appeared to me that he stopped listening to his patient's side effects with medication in some time he had contradicted himself . I switched another cardiologist group/ doctor , and had my medications changed , got my energy back and back walking my same distance as before . I just recv'd a letter from So. Bay Cardiologist group informing to make an appt with another doctor . I don't know why Dr Carlson is no longer with the group .

After waiting months for an appointment to see Dr. Carlson after my long term Dr left the practice I returned from vacation with anticipation for appointment. But the 'day before' my scheduled appointment I received a phone call to cancel my appointment because Carlson was suspended. Now I'm stuck after waiting months to find another cardiac physician.

Since my original doctor suddenly left the practice, I asked to see and work with Dr. Carlson. First, his assistant J. failed to order needed medication despite being asked on at least 2 separate occasions; then he denied that he'd been asked. Second, Dr. Carlson attempted to engage me, a new patient, in a political discussion about whether lockdown due to COVID was the right decision. This had nothing to do with my cardiac health and was politically loaded. I refused to answer him, and he repeated his insistence that lockdown was harmful to his patients' health. When I said I'd lost people to COVID, he didn't even have the decency to say something like "Oh, sorry about that." Instead, he started looking angry, told me how much unhealthy weight his other patients had gained, and left the room.The funny part about this: neither he or his staff weighed me during the entire visit. I suggest that this is an office in disarray and is headed in part by doctor who cares more about imposing his own beliefs on patients than his patients' actual health needs.

Dr Carlson is the best !! Caring, knowledgeable, patient. Takes time with you which not many Docs do Not do these days ! I love him ! And he’s from upstate New York which makes him even better ! 👌🏻
