List of Pejman Cohan's Reviews
Dr. Cohan is an extremely compassionate and thorough doctor. Even though my problem did not end up being Wndocrine, he did everything he could to try to get to the bottom of my symptoms and referred me to specialists who could help.
My father has been Dr. Pejmans patient for at least 5 years now. He is truly a caring and smart doctor. He takes his time and listens to my father. He consults with his other doctors and always goes above and beyond, looking for solutions. He truly cares.
I was a patient of Dr. Cohan's for the last eight years. I was very happy with the excellent care and sincere concern I always felt from him. At the end of February, 2023 I called his office to ask a question about my Diabetes and was told by the person that answered the phone, that he was dropping me as a patient because he no longer was treating Diabetes Type One patients! I was given no previous warning about this change and have received no word at all from Dr.Cohan himself to this day. I am deeply disappointed at this decision but more so, at the way it was handled. It was inappropriate and unprofessional. It takes months to find and get an appointment with a new Endocrinologist. I think that a phone call wold have been kinder and more suitable. YOu just don't do this if you care about your patients well being.
I started seeing Dr. Cohan about 15 years Agan and I truly think he saved my life— he certainly changed my health for the better. He is so thoughtful and caring— he truly listens and does a deep dive to solve intricate health concerns. He treats his patients as the complex puzzles we are and works hard to figure out just what pieces aren’t fitting properly and why that is and then he comes up with a plan that actually makes you not only feel better but also vastly improves the quality of your life. I am so very grateful to be one of his patients and have recommended several friends see him as well — they are all his patients now and feel the same way. Leticia and Melissa were n his office are equally professional, hard working, caring, smart, and patient. All visits to the doctor should be as helpful and thorough as every visit to Dr. Cohan is. Even if something scary os going in, he gets you through it and you know he cares.
Dr. Cohan has been my Endo on and off for 15+ years. He is a compassionate doctor that actually cares for his patients. He also carefully considers his patients input, because after all we know our bodies pretty well.
I have never had a better or more caring doctor then Dr. Cohan. I have been a "complicated" case for decades and was for years not heard by other doctors and they always said it was anxiety. Dr. Cohan never gave up on me and after having patience with many tests and months of testing he diagnosed me with Cushings Syndrome. Just having an answer to why I have felt so ill for so many years was a miracle for me. I suffered for many years but with the continual care of Dr. Cohan I am stabilized with all the health issues Cushing's contribute to. Its been a very long road and I often hid how I felt since I was made to feel I was a hysterical woman. I became a therapist to help people to advocate for their physical and emotional health. I always know if I am having some of the symptoms getting out of whack that I can feel supported and helped by Dr. Cohan. Unfortunately I was not a candidate for surgery so we have had to experiment with medications. I also have a wonderful Acupuncturist Patricia Leat, has been amazing and very proactive in my care. Dr. Cohan spoke directly to my acupuncturist because he is a doctor that looks outside of the box and he stays involved with my other care providers. If you are looking for a gifted, professional, compassionate endocrinologist, he is the one. I am forever grateful to him and his wonderful staff of Leticia and Melissa.
In November of 2020 my son was diagnosed with Cushing’s Syndrome in our home state of Alaska, and shortly thereafter we traveled to southern California for treatment. We have had numerous visits with Dr. Pejman Cohan, and in every case he has been simply amazing. He is dedicated, knowledgeable, compassionate, and very accessible. He is not only a great doctor but a great human being. Dr. Cohan helped guide my son through a complex treatment of diagnostic testing, cortisol blocking medication, and ultimately a successful surgery at the NIH hospital in Bethesda Maryland to remove a neuroendocrine tumor from his lung. My son is doing well and is still in remission 18 months post-surgery. If you are looking for a Cushing’s expert or endocrinologist in southern California, I happily give Dr. Cohan my highest recommendation.
Dr. Cohan is wonderful. He guided me through a disease that took me by surprise at 30 and has been a huge help ever since. Won't see anyone else.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
