Poorly run practice! Receptionist are completely lost... not willing to help or be considerate of your pain. Had to call over a dozen times to get anything done.

Dr. Narvy and Kim both put me back together again, as if I was  Humpty Dumpty who had fallen off a wall and I needed to be put back together again. Doctor Narvellous HAS performed three medically necessary shoulder replacement surgeries on me alone, the first two were very successful sad to say Im a bit aggressive and broke my own titanium implant and it needed a professional replacement and he did an excellent job thereby giving me three shoulder replacements in less than 18 months! Im beautiful again, freedom from chronic pain and total disability, and I function like a normal human being again, except that I broke my titanium implant for the SECOND time because Im married to an idiot who I just divorced on March 5th 2021 ... hallelujah! Dr. Narvy (and William C Kim too) is patient kind trustworthy a good listener and a skilled surgeon. I wont let anybody touch me other than him, and I suggest you do the same. Dr Narvy saved my shoulder! Im a 49 year old male lifelong weightlifter. Minor tears in my rotator cuff have stayed with me for 20 years,  along with daily pain.  6 months back, the tendon finally let go, full thickness tear.  The decision to proceed with surgery was the best decision I could make.  Now, 5+ months postop, zero pain, full range of motion and the clear to lift again.  Great surgeon! Dr Narvy is direct, to the point, but is happy to answer any questions. So be informed and ask.

No matter how skilled a doctor may be, a poorly run practice is an insult to his/her patients. This was the single most badly run medical practice I have ever witnessed. Patients--some of whom cannot stand up on their own--trail off into the halls to lean against walls. There were more than a dozen today when I was there. Patients are promised a half hour to an hour wait, in itself irritating. However, I waited over 2-1/2 hours and never got to see Dr. Narvy. Speaking to other patients I learned that 2-3 hours was an average wait for any service, no matter how trivial. I might have understood a backup due to an emergency, but this clearly was the norm. Worse, several people made loud (and in one case profane) complaints and were ushered in ahead of others who had been there longer. The second time caused a near riot in the waiting room and many walk-outs, including me--I had already called to cancel another appointment and was in danger of missing a third). It was shameful.

The doctor recommended PT before ACL surgery, we have the paperwork that states it. Its almost impossible to get a call back from the office. After trying to figure out why we never got approval for PT and calling the office for 3 days we finally got to talk to staff. The staff said no PT, surgery first, so we asked for the doctor to call us back and, of course, that never happened. The office staff is completely unprofessional. They did call us back 3 days later to schedule surgery and we told them we were trying to find a new doctor and they said oh, great. Not even inquiring why. If you want to have proper communications with your doctor and his medical staff this isnt the office for you.

This has got to be the WORST medical office Ive ever been to.  I didnt see Dr. Kim, but one of his associates, Narvy (I wasnt actually seen by him he looked at my xrays outside the room and told the aid what to say and do).  This wasnt all that bad, sounded like a minor fracture.However, his office staff is so RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL and just mean to patients (talk loud so everyone knows your business as well) mostly whoever does their appointments.  She offers you only ONE choice in the time frame the doctor suggested (lets say 6 weeks), no personal service if you say that doesnt work then youre going to have to wait for at least A MONTH beyond that for a second ONE Time option.  By the way the option she gave me and made an appointment for was not 6 weeks out but 4.5.  I ended up having to cancel that appointment, and called she didnt answer so I got a machine left a message as instructed that I couldnt make it and needed a new appointment (several days in advance of my scheduled appt by the way).  Never got a call to reschedule as I requested (which ok, I get that) but when I called I was told you MISSED your appointment, I said no I cancelled it and she said NOPE.  Couldnt get another appointment for a least a month later.Unfortunately, this is the only ortho currently offered by my HMO.  My HMO has been FANTASTIC up until this doctors office.I dont care how busy they are, DONT BE RUDE at least ACT like you are trying to help/accommodate the patients.Dr. Kim/Narvy you know whats going on get it together.  I have complained to my carrier and hope they cancel your office as a provider.

Two surgeries on my right shoulder over 7 months and still dont know where I stand. I call the office and over 50% of the time they dont even call back. Average time with Dr. Narvy is under 10 minutes and acts like I am bothering him as I walk out and ask if my shoulder will heel after second surgery. I have had bad service before, but this is as bad as it gets.

Dr. Narvy is the most awesome orthopedic specialist Ive ever met. Usually surgeons are cold and dont listen to you but Dr. Narvy listens and does everything he can to help you out. I refuse to see any other ortho surgeon ever again!!!

No matter what I say It will not be enough to state how grateful I am to Dr. Narvy. My daughter is a competitive dancer,about a year or so ago she tore her meniscus.. she had to go through surgery, and we wanted Dr Narvy to repair the tear which was extremely difficult and had very low chance of being successful.. Dr Narvy put all his effort in making sure he tries every possible option to accomplish that. Meniscus was repaired, and my daughter went back to competition stronger than before. We absolutely loved his service... we saw him at the Torrance office. We highly recommend him .. pls contact us if you have other questions.

I like Dr Narvy so I am giving four stars however Im writing this review to complain about the scheduling system. I was specifically given an appointment for today and I showed up to find out there was no doctor on site. I knew my doctor Nerf he would not be in but I only needed a cortisone shot so we agreed that I would see Dr. Kim for the shot. Dr. Kim is not in the office, hes left for the day. There was a very specific reason I was given this appointment at this time. Now I cant get in for this shot for two more weeks.While I was in the office another lady came in with an appointment and the same exact thing has happened to her. She had to leave work in order to make this appointment and now she has to juggle her schedule again to get in.Id give no stars to the front office but that isnt an option and I dont want to leave zero stars for Dr Narvy because I do like him
