List of Torrance Hospital Ipa's Reviews
Great service with great doctors in the network. I am very pleased.
Worst place on the planet, don't honor appointmentsDo yourself a big favor and find a doctor that will draw blood and save a ton of time
I've been going to the Madison Street location for a blood/urine test once a year for years. Never had an issue. The staff have always been professional. Today, I walked in to my 9:45 am appointment 15 minutes early, worried about a crowded waiting room during Covid and was pleasantly surprised that the waiting room was empty. Even if it were full, they spaced the chairs far enough apart that I would have felt comfortable sitting and waiting in the waiting room. In the past, sometimes it gets crowded but they put your name on the TV screen so you know exactly how many minutes until you are called (I don't know if they still do that). I used the scan code on my phone to check in, gave them the paperwork and insurance card, and they called me 2 minutes after I arrived. Was done in 5 minutes. Very smooth.
Torrance Memorial IPA was unhelpful when my Dr retired and I needed a new primary care physician. While they sent out flyers advertising physicians, when I needed to make an appointment they didn’t know when the replacement would be available - and gave me 3 different numbers to call - none helpful - all shunted me off to another number. When I requested my records be sent to my new UCLA physician - you got it - they don’t help in any way. I am out of town and my husband is at risk for COVID - I have to go into the office and sign the release no mailing, emailing or texting the form.Unhelpful, unaccommodating, inflexible and they sound like they couldn’t care less on the phone. Very poor.
Denied life saving surgery for a stage 4 cancer patient
Casey at Utilization management department is so rude and disrespectful
I always use a Quest Diagnostics for my lab work. Due to overcrowding I'm looking for a new facility, for my medical needs. Even though this one didn't have the best reviews I thought I would decide for myself. I'm so glad I did!! I had fantastic service. First of all it is a great building, with plenty of parking and I had no problem MAKING AN APPOINTMENT. The office is big, clean and I used the automated check-in system (love it). The front office person greeted me and I was seen 10 minutes before my appointment time. The phlebotomist (I'm sorry I didn't get your name) was so sweet, professional and better then that good at her job. She drew blood from my arm that was the hardest to take from and explained why. I couldn't ask for more.I highly recommend this facility. Give it a try and do yourself a favor, if you can, book an appointment. It just makes life easier.
Clean and friendly business. I've been here several times and am always seen, appt. or not.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
