Had an appointment with ENT, that was good, biopsy appointment good. No problem getting an appointment, staff was great. But, I was just told that my biopsy was indicative of CLL. Of course I'm freaking out. I was referred to TMMC Cancer Center. I called first thing in the morning (9:47 am) to get an appointment with an oncologist. No answer, left a message. No call back , so I called again at 3:02, and 4:23. Left messages on both those calls as well. In between I called my referring doctor to see if they could help me. So here I am the next day, still freaking out about my new diagnosis. Over 24 hours to mentally go down a dark rabbit hole. Not so therapeutic. So I can't really rate the cancer center because I can't get an appointment!

When I found out I had cancer, I was scared. But after meeting with doctor Hool, and the nurses, I had all my scans and started chemotherapy. I've heard stories from other people that had to undergo chemotherapy, that they felt run down, and couldn't handle it. One of my old bosses had to go through it also. Unfortunately he passed away. But when I was referred to Hunt, my fears went away, because the doctors and nurses and all of the staff there is so exceptional, and very caring. I hardly see any unhappy faces when I go there for my treatments. I would give this place five stars, and 10 stars if it allowed me. Everybody there is so professional, and very caring. I have been feeling very good through the whole treatment process, and I hope anybody that has to deal with cancer in my area is referred to the Hunt cancer treatment center in Torrance. Five stars and thumbs up to everybody there.

Dr. Chan and his staff are the kindest and most compassionate people you could ask for, especially when you are dealing with cancer. Dr. Chan keeps up with all the most recent research and is doing all he can to help his patients through very trying times.

Dr. Chan is awesome! He keeps up on the latest information and makes you feel confident that he has a clear plan. He listens and is responsive to your needs and questions. I would definitely recommend him and feel lucky to have him as my doctor.

This is my second time around and Dr. Chan was very informative and explains the process so I can understand what my treatment plan is. He is kind and compassionate will every detail. He has always made me feel safe and comfortable during the process. I am so grateful to have him as my oncologist

Dr. Chan took very good care of me while I was his patient for my breast cancer. He is very thorough, very patient, and always mentally present. He never rushed my Office visits or virtual sessions. He answered all my questions, addressed my concerns and always made me feel he was truly concerned about my welfare as his patient. I will be forever grateful to him and the other doctors that were on my Cancer Care Team.
