Went into the ER for stomach pain. Short wait taken into the ER in less than 30 minutes. Nurses were excellent. Full diagnostics including a scan and out the door in 2 hours. Minus 1 star because the ER doctor had zero bed side manor.

The review is for the ER specifically. They were wonderful and caring. The service of my ER night doc managing night nurse and my nurse were outstanding. They did everything they could to make a bad situation better. i am only giving 4 of 5 stars because the hospital management has issues with on call doctors that must be addressed. Those are the specially docs called in for specific procedures. Dr Verbin was the on call plastic surgeon the other night. Meaning he gets privileges to work at TM because he is available when they need him. The ER doc and staff reached out to him many times over hours. Verbin never called them back. What arrogance He got his privileges to practice but didnt bother providing the services to the ER that was his part of the deal. Completely unethical and self serving. He needs to lose TM privileges immediately. Maybe he would have responded if it effected his bottom line. The staff could do nothing he ignored them didnt care enough to even check why he was needed. thankfully the head of plastic surgery came in an hour early to do my procedure. Dr. Newman cared. Verbin too busy TM time to reevaluate that contract.
Horrible emergency room Do not come here Im sitting on front of the doctornurse station and I could hear everything. They put my husband in the hallway so I am sitting in front of the doctors desk and know everything that is going on with everyone around. I told them and they dont care. Rooms open up and still my husband is in the hallway and they get annoyed when you question them. I am never ever coming here again and would rather drive further. Nurses and doctors dont inform you and keep you posted they just run tests and dont explain anything unless you stop them and ask. When you ask since they are so busy they are bothered by it. Please do not come here They asked my husband for a pee sample and its still here sitting on the counter I asked the nurse about it and she said she didnt have a chance to get it and still didnt get it Ridiculous Unprofessional and apathetic place
I went to ER because Blue Shield nurse adviced me. I was afraid to go but I went because Im dying slowly due to advanced pancreatitis and if that wasnt enough I have advanced AR that attacks my organs and is closing the opening in my spine. it has traveled up from C5 to C4 in less then a year. I maybe have a year or 12 if the pancreatitus doesnt do me in. I also have severe stenosis in my back. Something happened to me that caused my back to spasm and the pain was so terrible....unrelenting....i couldnt even walk. it kicked off my pancreas so it wasnt working so hot. I lost 20obs in 3 weeks....yes I suffered at home for 3 weeks...I finally called the nurse because my BP was crazy high...168107 while on meds for that so I knew the pain was causing it. I called 911 which was good. Then I get to the hospital and they ask me why Im there They tell me Im chronic and I shouldnt be there. On top of me not walking...Southbay Pharmacy decided of all days that I was early and they were not giving my meds unitl exactly 30 days. Let me tell you that my insurance lets everyone get their meds 4 days early because sometimes the meds have to be ordered These unkind man Nathan at that place once lost his license for a week and didnt bother to inform or forward scripts to another pharmacy. very selfish. anyways Im dealing with this arrogance because I have been sent with meds to fail my god please help me Im having a tough time managing pancreatic attacks back pain hands not working due to RA RSD on left ankle because of a bad reconstruction surgery that crippled me a right knee that needs to be replaced. Dr. Purne was only suppose to do a debribement but instead without consulting me removing my cape amp accidentally damaged my patella so thats been dragging across my cartiledge free bone due to a doctor who wanted to get paid big time for a knee replacement that he set me up for which I never did because I knew that I have the bones of an 84 year old or more scan was old and it would fail because it would have nothing to anchor Doesnt take a rocket scientist for that although I come close to that as serving 25+ years in Aerospace and Dod as an Sr. Engineer in design. Folks when you are chonic you are a reminder of mortality which no one likes Anyways I had to tell all of this so you know just where Im at. So here Im at in the ER and they treat me like the worst piece of living flesh bag. They give me pain meds and the nurse has the audacity being young and throughly healthy how much theyve given me and all my blood was fine. I knew if they sent me home with out the ability to walk Id be in tough times. I pulled the sheet covers over my head and prayed God take me but my prayers were not fullfilled. i had been laying in same cloths for 2 days and I was weak. the Doc asked why I was here. I told them the pharm wouldnt release my meds and I was fighting this new nerve cramping and couldnt walk. They do not care. they released me with 168110 and a matching fast heart rate because this was my pain level even with morphine. I dont want to be here any more. How can someone who worked 89+ hours raised 2 kids for my fianceethe best thing I ever did End up like this? Never drank smoked and ran plently. I was muscular from all my activities when I was younger gymnastics surfing roller blading and running. Thats the terrible draw of life. Dont go to Torrance Memorial if your choniclly disabled. when you check in theyll label you as unemployed instead of your disability status. who contritie of them. This ER will kill you They want to cull the chronics. They left me in a wheel chair all by myself in a windy garage with no blanket when I had no jacket or shoes. I still couldnt walk and they discharged me with a crazy BP with no BP meds because I was out at home due to experimenting with new type of meds to get my BP down but its hard due to the pain Im in. And they gave me no means to walk I should have been checked into the hospital and worked with to rehabilitate me so I can walk. I wasnt even given a walker How was I suppose to go bathroom with dysentery always present for me and that why I lost so much body mass. Please take care of your loved ones and find a better hospital. A hospital that doesnt want chronic illness is one that doesnt like a reminder of human frality mortality and love lost. we that are chroniclly ill always have that lost look. its because we know whats happening and dont have the guts to finish what nature is doing....
My review is for LampD and the Mother amp Baby PP unit. I was anxious because this is my first pregnancy and I wasnt able to tour the unit due to Covid so I wasnt sure what to expect. However I had a really great experience the nurses were amazing They were knowledgeable helpful and caring. The suites are nice too which is great when you have to be in a hospital for a couple of days. So glad I had my baby here
We took my little 2 yr daughter last Thursday on September at the E.R.. i was a bit hesitant but she was on pain and uncomfortable and i was worried more about her catching covid. There are protocols and safety and they have separate place for people who has covid so its pretty safe so people please do not hesitate for your own sake Triage was pretty fast and they took her in right away for vital signs. She has history of seizures and making decisions to go to er is the best for her. Staff are nice and a great bedside manner specially my daughters nurse Mo. She just have a charm with kids. My daughter is very particular and picky when it comes to interacting with people she dont know but she likes her so much instantly that she took her medicine without hesitation. Its like magic tricks I did same tricks at home but didnt work for me lol. She is so sweet she even gave her a blanket that was handmade. The reason it was only 4 because main lobby at the hospital by the cafeteria have a poor communication Security guard is very irritating he keep repeating same questions and i already told him lady by the door told me to ask him for pass for cafeteria

This place has the right people working for them. I was admitted to the emergency room and the stellar healthcare has not stopped. I have been placed in an annex area because there is not enough beds right now. My procedure is at 1700. I will tell you what the care here is incredible. Alfred is the kindest and considerate person I have met in a hospital. Alfred is one of the RNs here. He has explained everything that is going on with my case. The team here in the annex is really working hard and it shows. The manager Kim is showing a great example of things should be done. Leadership by example. They really care about the patients here.
Dont forget. Hospitals are a business. If they treat you poorly you have a choice to go somewhere else. In this case the nurses didnt make me feel comfortable. Right around the time I hard the two nurses snickering to themselves oh this one is going to be fun I stelarted to feel uncomfortable spending my hard earned money with someone who wasnt cognizant about my situation which was dripping blood out of my forehead.I ended up going down the road to their competitor with Torrance medical urgent care. I had asked the nurses at providence if I should just go there instead of waiting longer as we were already over 3 hours and they mocked me saying oh they will just send you back here. Urgent care cant handle stiches. Clearly this statement was disingenuous and arrogant as well as the triage nurse staying I was lucky to only be waiting 3 hours so far since yesterday it was 12 hours.Customer service at its finest.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
