List of Blanca E. Ochoa's Reviews
Dr. Ochoa is a Super nice doctor. She listened to all my concerns, took her time with me. Very understanding & knowledgeable. Her nurse was also very kind too.I guess patients tend to complain about wait times, but I don't mind a little wait. It only means she's giving another patient her full attention like she did me. I'm ok with that.
I love Sutter, I have always found their medical staff to be professional until my visit at this location yesterday. My teenage daughter was seen by a dermatologist by the name of Dr.Ochoa.Before I begin, let me just explain the scenario.I'm a mother to a 15 year old I'm trying to raise to be independent and to learn to speak for herself so my daughter and I have an agreement to let her always talk to her doctors unless it was necessary for me to intervene. The appt started with her NOT acknowledging me as soon as she walked in the room. You would think it would be "common sense" or let's just say "common courtesy" for a Dr to introduce herself to the parent FIRST before speaking to my child but the appt started without an introduction. So, I let my daughter do all the talking and INSTEAD of politely asking if I had any questions or feedback she flat out asked me if I UNDERSTOOD or SPOKE English. I found her approach to be unprofessional ,rude and uncalled for. Doctors are held at a higher standard when it comes to professionalism ( granted she was only a dermatologist NOT someone that performs heart surgery of any kind) but giving this practice one star, negative if It was possible . She is not the typical Sutter Standard.
Took my mom to see Dr. Ochoa today and had a very unpleasant visit. We paid out of pocket $310 for a 2 minute consolation with a 40 min wait. When I asked the M.A to please call the doctor again to give my mom a better check up she was very rude and you could tell she was frustrated. I tried explaining my moms symptoms and why I had for her again and she was making very “smart remarks” and arrogant towards me. In honestly we didn’t care to pay the $310 because all we wanted was a fair treatment I choose her to see my mom. Completely disappointed in our visit today. My mom left feeling sad and very self conscious about her skin to the point she almost cried. And let me tell you right there that’s were you failed as a dermatologist.update I thought because of her behavior at least the treatment was going to work nope it didn’t. It’s been 2 weeks. No results. I’m even more disappointed with this visit. Maybe if she would’ve actually taken time to care and uphold to her “philosophy of care” maybe we could gotten better results. I wish I could give 0 stars.
Everything you could ask for in a dermatologist. Dr Ochoa what's prompt, and a very good bedside manner and addressed all my issues. I had been suffering for many months. I have complete satisfaction with this doctor and would recommend them to anyone. I don't know why all the low ratings perhaps the customer was having a bad day. Sincerely Eric schnorr
Professional and personable doctor. She is now my dermatologist. This is from my experience of being a retired RN.
Money not patient driven. Bedside manner is horrible. She is more concerned about getting you out of the office quickly than caring for your needs.

Dr. Ochoa and her staff have removed four areas of skin cancer on my face. Her and her nurses could not have been nicer.
Grossly misinformed of autoimmune skin disorders. Recommended cheap products my skin has an intolerance to using and skin regimens a mastered as an adolescent. The person lacks patient care skills, didn't even give a prescription for topical medication to keep inflammation alway. Absolutely disappointed after waiting several months for a appointment.
Dr. Ochoa was my MOHS surgeon. She was very rough and hardly spoke. She stitched me up and left the room. The medical assistant covered the stitches took my vitals and said she would be right back. 40 minutes later... I went into the hall to look for someone. An office staff found the medical assistant. She had been on her lunch and yep she forgot about me. I was not happy.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
