Dr. Thomas C. O'neil Md's Online Review Report Card

I had an appointment for an eye exam. I was not told beforehand that they tape the mask to your face -over the bridge of your nose, across the bottom of your eyes and at the bottom of your chin. If I knew that I would've not gone. Anyways, I told her I had asthma and don't put it on my chin. She proceeded to do the test then went into the exam room. I was told to put a eye patch on for one test. When I put it on my right eye the tape was in the way and it wouldn't fit right and pulled the tape from underneath my eye, which hurt. I told her this is hurting me and started to pull it off. I did not realize that the tape they used was so sticky and strong that it pulled my skin under my eye and left a bruise ( she put 2 pieces of tape under my eye). Now it looks like I been punched. Everyone knows that the skin underneath your eye is very thin. Why they use that kind of tape is beyond me. I was told that they do the same thing to children and they scream and cry. The doctor comes in to do the routine exam and when he walked in he told me to move my legs so he can get through and not in a nice way. He then tells me if the lens in the machine fogs up that I need to put the tape back on or go home. I also seen in plain view when he was writing in my chart that the assistant put on a sticky note that I pulled the tape off my face and "refused" to put it back on. Didn't add that it ripped my skin off. The whole experience was humiliating and beyond bizarre. He also refused to do a dry eye test. Told me to come back at a later date knowing my insurance would not pay for another exam. He was very, very rude and disrespectful. He lacks bedside manner and does not care about his patients. The only one that is helpful and cares is the lady that helps you order your glasses. She's very caring and experienced. I WOULD NOT recommend this place to anyone!!!!!!

My needs were met....When a replacement was required, Didnt have to make inital appointment.Forget apointment...mailed reminders everytime!!!

I've brought my son, mom and myself. The staff is amazing and helpful. I live in san Andreas and drive to tracy. I will continue to see them.

From the first time that I had contact with the office they have been more than helpful. Over the last several months when I have gone in everyone has been so helpful and have always had a smile when I go in. They have a good selection of frames at a reasonable price. The staff is very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend going here for your eye care.

Very friendly staff. Loved Dr. O'Neil. Happy my Dr. Recommended him! We see him for regular eye exams and my yearly diabetic eye exams.

Very rude, unprofessional and aggressive staff. They hang up on you if they don’t like to answer your question and they will ignore you if you ask for explanation.

Office staff was amazing, helpful and sweet. Dr. O'NEILL was very short and not very personable at all. Seemed to be running through motions to get either to a next patient or take care of other matters. There was barely an introduction and the experience with was over all pretty cold. Seems like a knoledgable practice, but if you're looking to have a long term eye Dr. And form a relationship, my personal experience would cause me to look else were.

I must say that this is by far the best eyeglass place in town! The welcoming and friendly, knowledgeable staff helped me select new glasses without making me feel pressured.... as if I was buying a car! Dr. O'Neil took the time to explain and answer all of my questions. I had a great experience and will definitely return for my eyecare needs. Thank you!

Since diagnosed with closed angle glaucoma I've had many Doctors! Dr O'Neil is by far the best I've had! The staff was so kind and helpful I felt I had my own personal counselor! ( Thank You Sarah! )

Just to give you an example of people that don't know how to work with special needs kids as a matter of fact they just shouldn't take them in at all the doctor ripped a bag of crackers out of my son hands and told him to wash his hands because he doesn't want him to get germs on his equipment . I talked to many other people that had the same experience but unfortunately it was after the event the reason for one star on the review is for the receptionist she is the only one that seems to care about the patients. I can't urge you guys enough please don't go there especially with a child with special needs my son is home thinking that it is something that he did when his doctor is the Jerk
