Twice have had to do surgery 1st shoulder tear then knee tear. Dr. Pettigrew is awesome.Love the care I received

So I see that there is a lot of people who recommended this dr… unfortunately I wasn’t so lucky like some of these people … I have a tear on my meniscus, acl, and pcl. After my appointment with pettigrew , he said that I didn’t need surgery and that I would be fine. I was in a bit of a shock since I didn’t expect him to say that after so many surgeries he has done with less injuries … I also felt that he used me as an example to his assistants on how to not accept everyone. It’s been 6 years since my Injury and I’m still waiting for it to get better like he said . I believe if he would have actually helped me … my life would be less stressful … I used to play soccer everyday and I haven’t ran because my knee hurts … I also work in construction and I get so much pain through out the day. Now I don’t think pettigrew wanted that for me but I most certainly know that he didn’t want to help ..was it cuz of money or race idk maybe … but I’m reading reviews and apparently he could have help .. I can’t say that I don’t recommend him cuz I never got any treatment from him to evaluate … I just got rejected …check your options and don’t let him convince you that you are ok and it will heal on itself …

The reason for the one star review is that we had to call the office multiple times for information. That we needed to pay Dr fees so surgery could be set and then told us no one in office could help get surgery date since the only individual that sets surgery dates is on vacation for a week. Seems like there should be another person able to schedule surgeries if someone is off. On the initial visit to office to the office with an appointment it took 3 hours to be seen.Now the doctor himself has been great through the process and explaining each step.

He did my rotor cuff surgery and I couldn't have found a better more pleasant surgeon. He is tops in my book. I'm having him fix my other shoulder and anything else that needs fixing .

Dr.Pettegrew,is awesome!His staff and him cares about the patients..He just did my surgey and I couldn't ask for a better Surgeon! I recommend him to anyone!

Just wanted to share my experience with those possibly looking for a recommendation for Meniscus tears in the knees. December of 2018, I had surgery on my right knee for meniscus tears. Surgery went better than expected and from past experience, it was like night and day. Dr. Pettigrew had a plan and I followed to a tee. He listen to my needs and followed through on his word. The next day after surgery I was in therapy and from there on I stayed with the program until I was ready to go. Months later I’m back doing physical things I’ve never done before and that’s cause ive stuck to the plan. Hope my experience is able to help others.

He did surgery on my shoulder over a year ago. Very nice man. I had an issue getting the right anesthesiologists for my surgery, and he was so kind and always a gentleman. He did a fabulous job! I’m working out again with no pain. You rock Dr P! 👍🏻💪👊🏻

He did surgery with my moms broken leg and torn tendons. He was kind and good at his job.

This is to Tina sorry for your experience first nd second i gotta get in ACL and Meniscus surgery first of February less then two weeks so i was doing my research and stumbled across your review. Idk what to think now kinda worried about your scenario. I had this pain about little over 4 years and need a surgery soon so they request me to this doctor now I got me thinking..
