Fantastic physician! The specialist s had given up on our mother and wanted Hospice. He told them to stop the morphine. Now she's in rehab planning on coming home soon.. No one but Dr.Arakelian bothered to looked at mpm as agrandmother full of life and demanded the morphine drip be turned of before it killed her.

My family has been with Dr. Arakelian for years. Saved my daughter from an early stroke due to his expertise. He found my heart needed 2 stents when no other one believed I had a heart problem. He was trained at the Mayo Clinic and it shows.

My mother has a sore on her scalp that developed 2 years ago. Dr. A. sees her at least every 2-3 months. We have asked him almost every visit about this sore because mother complains about her head hurting. He brushes us off about it. Until last June he said it is psoriasis. He prescribed a cream that burned her scalp. Black scabs developed on red burned areas and spread all through her scalp. The original sore became worse. I asked her Rheumatologist to look at it on a visit in September. He immediately ordered an MRI to rule out Osteomyelitis, prescribed topical and oral anti- biotics, and sent my mother to a dermatologist. All in a 2 day period the same week we saw the Rheumatologist The osteomyelitis result -negative. The dermatologist performed a biopsy which came back squamous cell carcinoma. Definitely a misdiagnosis by Dr. A. Both specialists told me the cream Dr A. Prescribed was wrong. Surgery tomorrow 10-1-18 by two surgeons from Los Angeles. I feel now that I should have taken this matter into my own hands a year ago and sought another opinion instead of seeking a primary care doctor to diagnose and treat. They often look like warts and sometimes have open sores with a raised border and crusted surface over an elevated pebbly base. In addition to the signs of SCC shown here, any change in a preexisting skin growth, such as an open sore that fails to heal, or the development of a new growth, should prompt an immediate visit to a physician. Unfortunately this is not the 1st misdiagnosis by Dr. A. A year ago my mothers neurologist found high RA factor when trying to determine my mothers frequent falling. After many exrays and testing my mother was diagnosed with 15-20 year old Rheumatoid Arthritis damage and Osteoporosis. Feet severely deteriated and hands moderately damaged. Dr A saw my mothers damaged feet, hands, and elbows many times over the years and did nothing. Mom is 89 and was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s about 2 1/2 yrs. ago. I took over my mothers health care visits to Dr A a year ago after my sister could no longer accompany mother. Happy to report my mother is very healthy otherwise and will be 90 in November! My sisters and I are disappointed in Dr A. I highly recommend follow your gut and see Specialists when you begin doubting primary care physicians. We are all human and make mistakes. Take your health care into your own hands. Be pro-active and prompt when you see body and function changes.

Just took my 82year old Mother in Law to see Dr Arakelian and I have always thought he was a good dr. He didn’t ask her any health questions, took her off Vicodeine with to tapering. Who does that? You can’t tell me he doesn’t know better than that. I WAS INFORMED WHENI GOT THERE HE MAY NOT GUVE NEW PATIENTS VICO, MIGHT HAVE BEEN NICE TO KNOW THAT BEFORE HAND ......I AM VERY DIASSAPPOINTED. HONESTLY I DONT THINK HE WANTS ELDERLY PATIENTS

Great Doc. He and his staff are always trying to give their all to patients. Would highly recommend. Both my parents were his patients and felt lucky to get into his practice.

Dr. Arakelian is an excellent doctor. I have been his patient for approx. 9 years now. He is very efficient and his nurses are the best!

Very good doc with good staff and good bedside manner.

Usually sees me within 15 minutes of scheduled appointment. Although he seems too busy, he will usually take time to listen and makes every effort to help. A kind man.
