Guy Randazzo's Online Review Report Card

Guy Randazzo and his wife/ assistant Victoria Randazzo have been the best doctor I have had since I moved to CA a few years back. I’ve been through quite a few difficult situations with my health, and unlike most doctors I’ve experienced in the past, Victoria and Guy have gone far out of their way to help me get what I need. If I could rate higher than 5, I definitely would.

Dr. Randazzo is fantastic! The office is not very busy, so you get in and out fairly quickly compared to other offices I've been to. He is professional and at times has a bit of a comedic nature to himself. Overall, great experience.

The interaction today between him and my disabled son was unforgivable. He was harsh, intentionally attacking my son for something his schizophrenia makes nearly impossible until I interviened. My son will never go back now since the Dr made it a hostile environment.

My father was told that he had metastatic cancer in his liver and pancreas. Because of his age, Dr. Randazzo suggested that he consider hospice. His diagnosis, based upon a visual inspection and tests that were not conclusive, was wrong. After moving my father to UCI Cancer Center (after great difficulty, as Dr. Randazzo's office refused to send a referral and made obtaining my father's records difficult), we discovered that there was no cancer in his pancreas. His liver, although cancerous, was not metastatic and treatable. Shame on such a quack, telling my father to go home and die - particularly since he had just lost his wife several months earlier.

My father was given a diagnosis of metastatic cancer of the liver and pancreas in error. This was followed by a recommendation of hospice. Had we listened, my father's treatable cancer (only in his liver, he has benign polyps in his pancreas) would possibly have become metastatic.

Low ratings: Ease of Appointment: he only does Pulmonary appointments in the middle of the day; this is not at all convenient for me as I have a job and cannot take that much time in the middle of the day. I got a bit snippy and told them that I was considering finding another specialist, and they got me an earlier appointment. Promptness: I waited in the (very small and claustrophobic) waiting room for nearly an hour past my appointment time. Other than that, the office staff seem indifferent. Not really discourteous, just like they really don't care. Dr Randazzo himself is very nice, and seems interested in finding the correct diagnosis. Great bedside manner and very personable.

Dr. Randazzo takes his time going over patient questions & concerns and makes sure they understand their diagnosis. Unfortunately this tends to make him a bit late for the appointments later in the day. He is very caring and has been able to diagnose an issue I've seen other specialists for. His staff is a bit short with the patients but have done their best to get me in when I have an urgent issue.

Dr. Randazzo is one of the best doctors. It is easy to see him when needed and he is very thorough when trying to find the cause of a problem. If the exact cause of a problem can not be found it is not for lack of medical skill or running all the test necessary. No one could expect more from any doctor.

Dr. Randazzo is quite an excellent doctor and we have been going to him for nearly 15 years. Sadly, we are considering changing physicians because his office staff is so utterly atrocious and we've finally had enough of their awful antics.
