Not a good doctor, very arrogant with a bad attitude. Misdiagnosed and miss treated my husband’s condition, and showed zero sympathy afterwards. Will only recommend her to my worst enemy.

Don't believe the hype!Just because she has a job at UCI, doesn't mean she is capable or even any good. Bad experience with her with complications and find out that she just doesn't care about patients at all. One person said in their review that he asked her a question and she told him to look it up himself, that is totally her in a nutshell!There are plenty of good GI doctors out there, don't waste you time and risk complications with this one.

Current patient for over 1 year now. Dr. Parekh always goes above and beyond to make sure we cover everything and all questions are asked with no pressure. She is the true definition of what a real Doctor should offer to his or her patients. Knowledgeable and caring.

I was referred to Doctor Pareck by my GI Doctor for a second opinion on my case. I found her to be very nice, thorough, and she includes me in my care. She always explains her thought process and where she is taking my care. When she gets consults from other UC I doctors, it happens within days. When I contacted her with a concern, she returned my call the same day. I don’t see what she could do to be better with my care and her approach. I have already learned a lot from her about my dise

Our son Jake had his 2nd appointment today with Dr. Parekh. Jake came to her for problems with his J Pouch. She is an excellent doctor. She covers the "whole" person. Not just the one problem. Jake already feels better and has only seen her twice. We feel she is really steering him towards a better future of feeling good. We feel confident having Dr. Parekh as his gastro. Thank goodness we found her.

I suffered from ulcerative colitis for many years, made more complicated by a history of cancer. After working tirelessly and exhausting all options, Dr. Parekh recommended surgery, noting it was the best way to regain a high quality of life. While not an easy decision, it was the right one, and I cannot imagine how I ever survived without it. Dr. Parekh is a straight shooter who guided me to the proper decision for my health, and she does it for others every day.

My husband suffered from ulcerative colitis for three years and we were lucky to have Dr. Parekh as his gastroenterologist. Her professionalism and knowledge were exceptional ! I accompanied my husband to all of his appointments and procedures and noticed firsthand her compassion and understanding of his needs. I would highly recommend her to anyone in this situation.

I came to Dr. Parekh looking for a way to improve my Ulcerative Colitis. It became apparent right away not just to myself, but also my family, that I was in the best hands possible. The differences between Dr. Parekh and any other doctor I had seen were night and day. Not only is she exceptionally knowledgeable, but the level of comfort, care, and support that her (and her incredible team) provide really goes above and beyond. You won't find a better doctor who will work harder for you than her.

Hi, My wife made me aware of this site. I would have recommended Dr. Parekh sooner. She not only has a world of information in her field, but her bedside manner is second to none. Dr. Parekh makes you feel at ease whether doing a procedure or just explaining it. I'd not highly, but very highly recommend her to anyone needing a gastroenterologist. There's not enough stars on this survey to describe her. My only regret is: she's not a specialist in all fields. Dr. Parekh would be my go to doctor.

I was properly diagnosed with Crohn's disease in 2012 at UCI. I was then referred to Dr. Parekh. I remember my first appointment with her and she took her time, listened and we discussed further treatment. Without her help I don't know where I would be. She truly cares for her patients, remembers her patients and listens to her patients.My disease is now under control all with the help, patience and care from Dr. Parekh. I recommend her for any GI issue you may have, especially Crohn's disease.
