BEWARE OF THIS DOCTOR!! STAY AWAY!! 2 years ago I took my 78yr old mother for an a simple ear cleaning, on the first visit after ignoring our concerns about her ear/hearing he hastily jammed a long metal rod far into her left ear to which my poor mother shrieked and jumped away in intense pain. She immediately knew something went wrong as she heard an intense pop in her ear drum followed by stabbing pain and a loud white noise that worsened her hearing. Doctor Huang immediately ignored the disastrous situation he created and said "everything is fine" as he told us to leave his office. We went back for a follow up visit in which he got aggressive and furious with us and told us to "not come back" leaving us with NO ANSWERS and NO HELP after damaging her ear. For 2 years my mother lived with an annoying loud white noise that sounded like sharp wind blowing into her left ear. She couldn't hear, her balance was off, and she felt dull pain for 2 years. All we wanted was a simple ear wax cleaning and he messed up her ear permanently, ruining her quality of life for 2 years- other doctors afterwards are shocked to see such malpractice when they see the hole in her ear drum. We had to pay 30,000 out of pocket for a reconstructive surgery to repair the newly ruptured ear drum that Dr. Huang caused with a metal rod. This was absolutely the worst experience in medical care we have experienced. Please listen and consider the other seven 1 star reviews that are masked behind the fake 5 star reviews. SHAME ON YOU DR. HUANG.

Dr thomas definitely knows his stuff. He might not be the cheapest but he knows how to unclog your ears. Most of the time if i make an appointment i only have tO wait 10-25 minutes to be seen
Went in for a severe throat infection (tonsillitis) earlier today.I only waited a few minutes to see him but I spent even less time seeing him. My weight, temp, and vitals were not taken. He came in and asked me what was wrong so I told him about how I've taken three antibiotics for my throat infection that is getting worse each day. So he tells me to open my mouth and barely looks in. He said that I had severe tonsillitis. Which I already knew as I had been to the doctor and urgent care. He wrote a prescription and I asked if I can take it while breastfeeding and he said to ask the pharmacist. All he wanted was to just write a prescription and not actually see what else there is to do. So I ended up leaving... however, I went back and told the lady up front that I needed to see him again because that was one of the perscription antibiotics that I had just taken. I saw him again and he just wrote a different perscription- and again showed me my way out. I am a mom of a six month old, a full time student, and I work. Needless to say, I needed answers because my throat is pretty bad. And now I am in the ER tonight because it's gone down my throat and I am having a hard time breathing. I'd never recommend him to anyone. (The ladies up front were nice and helpful though.)
It's unfortunate that Dr. Huang hasn't learned anything in all the years of practice to provide proper care and diligence to his patients. D.N. of Orange, California was right in his Yelp review from 6/2/2013 when he said, "It's clear to me after seeking other medical attention, that this Dr. should have properly examined me and been able to diagnose the cause of my sinusitis, instead of operating on me unnecessarily."In 2006, I had my "deviated septum" operated on by Dr. Huang. Unfortunately, work Dr. Huang had done on my nose came back to bite me recently. I initially went to him for a deviated septum, as the internal wall between my nostrils was crooked, causing a narrow opening in one nostril. I explained to him that I want this wall straightened, restoring the symmetry of the nostril openings. There was obviously a lack of communication, as he ended up removing cartilage from the inside wall of the wide-open nostril. Before the operation, when he examined my nose, he looked in the wide open side, and said, "Yes, you have a deviated septum. We'll schedule to operate." This did not fix the problem, and in my frustration I did not want to return to him. I found out recently, with a doctor's visit to another ENT doctor at UC Irvine Medical Center, that by removing that cartilage, my initial issue cannot be easily be remedied. They would need to graft cartilage from either my ear or my ribs to do the job! Word to the wise: If a doctor is eager to cut out anything for a remedy, get second and third opinions, and do a lot of homework on the consequences. Dr., Huang did not communicate to me exactly what he was going to do, and what the outcome would be. There was no discussion as to the pros and cons, or if it was even going to straighten the division. I trusted he knew what he was doing, and I paid the price. By the way, that price didn't come cheap. There was recovery time for an unnecessary operation, and there was no apparent benefit to the work he did.

I went out of my way to download Yelp just to give this dude the review HE DESERVES. I have nothing good to say about this doctor, but everything bad. He doesn't take the time to listen to you and even makes you feel like your symptoms which are completely abnormal, normal. He is so pathetic! Every symptom I told him I had he went on to claim he has it also and told me everything I was feeling is completely normal and that I would have to learn to live with it for the rest of my life. He didn't want to run any tests on me ONLY UNTIL I pushed for them. He is such a hypocrite and feeds off of your desperation and worries. I have NEVER in my life encountered such a inhumane doctor in my life. If you enjoy getting treated like crap this guy is definitely your go to. There's a special place in who knows where for people like him. He's just there to make sure he collects his coins off of your visits but disregards your issues. I don't like you Dr. Thomas Huang, I hope you read this one day & learn how to be a little more caring or pretend to care, at least, about your patients. Ultimately, they're the ones paying your bills. Asshole!
Dr Huang is an amazing doctor. Quiet and reserved, but he does listen. He helped me breathe again.
My experience with the Doctor was terrible. It is the worst Dr experience I have ever had. The Dr. saw me for less than 5 minutes. I did not get all my questions answered as I was rushed out of his office to get the lab order. I tried to ask him questions as he was rushing to leave. Very unprofessional. It was such a waste of my $50 copay and 45 mins of wait to see the Dr. I still don't know what to do regarding my condition.
My visit today was awesome. Dr. Huang is to the point and answers all questions and concerns. They don't mess around with their appointments. I was called back from the waiting room in less than a minute and they had me out of there in 15 minutes. Also, with the pharmacy downstairs I was back home in 40 minutes. Exactly what I needed with my cold; to be back in bed. Thank you Dr. Huang Thomas!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
