Tiburcio Vasquez Health Center's Online Review Report Card

For all the parents reading this: Don't send your kids to this  school here if you have a choice. It has like 4,500 kids and is extremely overcrowded to the point where it is hard to walk through the halls. It takes like 10 minutes just to walk from one side of the campus to the other. there are 2 lunches periods here. so if you get stuck in a lunch and your friends are in the other lunch period , you are screwed to be a loner all year. if you ask the counselors to change your schedule because your friends have the other lunch they will flat out tell you no. they say deal with being a loner during lunch the whole year. they don't care. what kind of high school experience is it if you can't even hang out with your best friends during lunch. I had to suffer 2 years where all my friends I grew up with had the other lunch and I had another lunch period and ate my lunch like a loner. it's the worst experience ever. there are a lot of bad kids/criminal types here as well that steal and cause problems. there are kids that go here from other cities other than union city and cause problems here as well. if you are a good kid these kids may cause problems for you. too many kids plain and simple. a lot of kids are jerks here as well and extremely rude and wont' hesitate to curse at you for the smallest of reasons, even if you are  a nice person. and just so you know, unlike mission san jose high school where all the students are hard working and just good kids at this school a lot of kids think it's cool to be dumb, ghetto and goof off. It's logan culture , this school tends to have a ghetto vibe and a lot of kids act ghetto too. a lot of kid that the kids don't do their homework and just mess around. i think the staff and teachers are aware of Logan culture telling the kids to be dumb. so be careful if you send your kids here, their peers laziness and goofing off may rub off on your kids and they may not work as hard as they may at another high school where the majority of kids care about their education and aren't ghetto.  I would say only about 30 percent of this schools students care about their education and actually work hard, the rest of the 70 percent don't care and a lot mess around, goof off and act dumb. It's not really a great school for having a good studying environment. in a lot of my classes so few kids would actually do the homework even the teacher would get irritated but what can teachers do, it's logan culture. the bathrooms at this school are dirty 24/7, 365 days a year. dirty dirty bathrooms.another problem with this school is there are so many kids each year there are different kids in your classes so you never get to make any new friends or meet new people. because each year there are new people in your class you have never seen before. All my cousins in other cities would talk about getting off campus lunch but like usual Logan always has to do everything opposite and ruin children's lives and we aren't even allowed to get off campus lunch . how is the kids fault the school has like 4500 kids and union city can't make a second high school. they dont have off campus lunch because its too hard to control 4500 kids. that is why i am telling you stay away from this school. and here is another problem with this school. in every other normal american high school, people are able to date and have girlfriends because it is super easy to get to know people and meet new people. this place is so huge you have random people showing up in your classes each year during the 4 years you are there that you have never even seen before, so it is super difficult to even date because sometimes girls don't talk to Randoms they have never seen before. me and my friends never dated or had girlfriends because of the environment of this school. there were guys that did have girlfriends but then again they are girls they probably knew since elementary /middle school. this is not an easy school to date or meet people at.union city seriously needs to make a second high school , they have the money i don't get why they don't just build another school. instead they cause so much traffic on the streets. i worked hard so i was able to get into UC San Diego and go straight from Logan to UC san diego . uc san diego was like heaven compared to this place. you want my advice,  move to Fremont ,Pleasanton or Dublin or something so your kids can have a real high school experience and go to schools that are safer than here. Yeah those cities are expensive but its better to live in a smaller house so that your kids can have a good high school experience. Trust me there are many other kids that went to Logan that wished we could have gone a real American high school with only 2,000 kids and have a real American high school experience. avoid Logan at all costs unless you have no choice. i know everyone's financial situation is different and sometimes people can' afford those cities and have to stay in Union City

Has great classes that have a lot of variety. It's not perfect, but it can get your students to a good school and possibly beyond.
