The best cardiologist around. Saves my life. Had 99% blockage. Office staff great.

I had a great experience with Doctor Ahn and everyone at his office. I was a bit scared when I was referred to him by my primary care doctor. I read some pretty bad reviews from other patience's. I'm happy to say that my appointments have been wonderful. I did have to wait 10 to 15 minutes but I feel, for a Doctors appointment, that is very acceptable. I found Dr Ahn to be very attentive and a felt he was very concerned about my condition. He recommended several tests and explained the procedures and what they would hope to find. I feel my heart is in very good hands with Dr Ahn and his staff.

My husband needs a pacemaker and we have now been rescheduled FOUR times. He was told be Dr. Ahn's office that the procedure was scheduled at 7:30 am. We were told where to go and when to get to the hospital only to find out from hospital staff that the procedure is scheduled for tomorrow. This is unconscionable, especially after it was cancelled before and we were assured that it was definitely scheduled today! Horrible thing to do to a patient who is already nervous and whose pacemaker battery life is at the end!!

This place was in pretty bad shape. The chairs were SO dirty I didn't even sit down. I waited 50 min before I was even called into a room which is unacceptable. when I got into the room and Dr. Ahn came in, he seemed very disheveled. Dr.Ahn asked me some questions, I answered. then he asked me the same questions again. He did not go over my referral paperwork and had no idea why I was there. he spent about 15 min with me and wanted to do a few test. I will be looking for another Dr. Will not be returning.

I recently had a heart attack, Dr. Ahn saved my life in the ER, he was quick efficient and very thorough. I as a retired Combat Medic know the importance of staying competent in your profession, he is a prime example if a Dr. that strives for perfection in all his surgeries, I would trust him again if I needed surgery.

Dr. Ahn saved my life, as a retired Combat Medic, I was expected to save lives if called upon, and always hoped if it came down to me needing help someone would be there, Dr. Ahn was the guy this time, needless to say he was my blessing.

They make appointments and then you sit in waiting area forever

Absolutely horrible. I can’t believe he was listed in an Inland Empire magazine as one of the best cardiologists. I was forced to choose a new cardiologist when I turned 65. Not being UNFAMILIAR of the area, I decided to select a doctor affiliated with SARH. ..San Antonio hospital. I choose Dr AHN based on the article I read. I made an appointment, arrived and after a long wait, I saw him. Right from the begin, he seemed indifferent . I have been a cardio patient since 2014 when I had a heart attack. I’ve had stents inserted in my body. He did not seem interested in any of that. It seemed like his mind was elsewhere and that he was in a rush to see his next patient. I inquired about nuclear stress tests, which I have periodically, and about carotid artery’s scans. He just dismissed me and said Medicare would not cover those procedures. Totally amazed that he would just disregard the importance of these tests for a CVAD person like myself , I looked him in the eye and asked him, “ so basically these test would only be performed AFTER I had my next heart attack and I would be lying in a hospital bed, IF I was fortunate to survive the next heart attack”? He just stared at me and didn’t respond! Unbelievable …. Six months ago , I was having chest pains and he consented to doing a stress test. ..After the results came in, he said he found nothing and that I was fine …then he basically dismissed me like there was no need for further appointments. I reminded him about my previous heart attack and that I had had stents put in and that didn’t he think that maybe I should be under a doctors care. Again, no reply. Well here is the best part ( or worse for me) ….I’m having chests pains again. It seems that the good doctor NEVER looked at the results of my tests otherwise WHY am I have problems again. I maintain a good diet and exercise ( moderately) on a regular basis… AVOID THIS DOCTOR AT ALL COSTS….he is a fake. I am struggling now to find a doctor to help me. I could be DEAD because of Dr AHN’s incompetency….I am very worried. Please take my advice and STAY AWAY FROM THIS PERSON. I CERTAINLY WISH I HAD. ZERO STAR WOULD HAVE BEEN A BETTER RATING.

Horrible office, don’t come here if you can go somewhere else. They make appointments but it doesn’t matter. I’ve been here 2 times and both times I’ve waited more then an Hr to be seen. They close at 5 but still have 8 to 10 ppl waiting to be seen.

My mother's appointment was horrible! We waited 45 mins past my mother's appointment time.Dr. Ahn came in for 5 mins and asked my 79 year old mom how she was feeling and then said see you in 6 months.I said, no ecg? He said we can do it in 6 months. I said well it's been 1 1/2 yrs. He said oh, He ordered it, came in to read the results said all good see you in 6 months.I said how about 1 year, he said perfect, 1 year since all is goodNot impressed, AT ALL. Doesn't seem to care about being thorough. Just appears to me he's more concerned with collecting Medicare checks!Also, they asked us to bring in her lab results,He didn't look at those either until I said, do you want to see her lab results? They asked me to bring them.He said oh yes, he took 15 seconds to read them and then said, looks greatStay way from this guy, he's doesn't care! Horrible!!!
