Chuang-Ti Hung's Online Review Report Card

I have been having issues with my liver/stomach for a couple of years no with no real solutions. Seems ever since COVID medical care has fallen by the wayside. Scheduling initial appointment and the staff was so rude. Tried to find out about practice and possible nutritionist information and the female on the phone was the worst! Condescending, inconsiderate, zero compassion whatsoever. When I tried to end the conversation with a, "Thank you and I hope you have a good day" she hung up on me. I called back to get her name and speak with the office manager. Talked with "Gia", had to fight with her to get her name. She said there was no way to know who I spoke with she also had a bad attitude, and may have been same person I talked with earlier.  Gia said their office manager doesn't have a set schedule and there is no way to speak with her/him by phone or email. WHAT? Gia then asked for my date of birth and tried to cancel my appointment.  If this kind of treatment from staff is allowed even before I see the Dr... than forget it! I am not cattle or just a copay. I'm seriously concerned about my health. Isn't there anyone in the medical field who cares anymore? #Sickandtiredofbeingsickandtired.  Side note, I see Dr. Hung responds to the positive reviews only. It's too bad the staff at the door are so rude. Dr. Hung may be a great doctor but I may never know.

The staff and Dr. Are great. Sadly I never get seen at my appointment time.

First of all this has nothing to do with Doctors.!Now is the story I was there to help my dad coz my dads doesn't speak English I was there to translate for him.I had work on that day I told them that I'm there to help my dad check in and when my dad's turn he can call me I can translate for him. They told me that I can not do that. I'm like why ? They said that is gonna be too much work for the doctor I'm like what ?? They said if I can not stay they will reschedule for my dad to see the other doctor who speaks same language as my dad for next month.

Long wait!  No advanced call indicating doctor was running two hours behind Schedule.  No mention of having to wait when I checked in.   Staff do not wear masks but require patients to.  Seems too one-sided for me.  I cancelled appointment and went to see another doctor.

I'm not sure why there are so many 1 star reviews for this place it is for lack of a better word AMAZING , my mom was directed to a gastroentologist out of Redlands that was horrible , as soon as I stepped into Dr Hungs office I knew things were going to be different now I will never bring my mom anywhere else thank you to the very well mannered staff and awesome environment at Dr C.T. Hungs in Upland.

On 09/01/2021 I went in with a face mask on for my appointment and to my surprise non of the reception staff were wearing masks. Soon after taking my seat the office waiting room filled to overflowing with NO social distancing at all. So I decided to notify staff I was uncomfortable and would wait in my car until they were ready. After I was called inside to meet with a masked medical technician I was informed that even though I was vaccinated I would need proof of a covid test before the doctor would treat me. What hippocracy is this, don't protect the patient but protect the doctor at all cost.

Doc. Hung is the best G.I. Doctor ever. I've been with him for about 6 yrs. now. Hes funny, caring, and makes you feel at ease. I highly recommend him.

I absolutely hate this office. I have been a patient for approx. 8-10 yrs. I love the Dr. he is great. But he is allowing his office staff to make decisions regarding prescriptions that I believe they should not be allowed to make. I am on a prescription that is actually otc but getting it from the dr. is cost effective. Depending on who you talk to at the office they will tell you that you must see the dr. every 6mos. and others will say every year. This office will not call you if they deny a refill and they blame the pharmacy saying the pharm. should call. Each year for my appt. the only thing performed is vitals and the PA will simply ask me if I have any concerns to which I usually don't. Then the PA will assign a prescription for the otc medication. Point here is that not blood work is necessary adn they don't even look at blood work from my primary. So here I am again...not getting the prescription filled because of needing to see the PA (not even dr.). I have been waiting for a week to hear from someone. I decide to call today because last night was rough. Btw...I went and purchased the otc in the middle of the night out of desperation. I get a hold of the Dr.'s office and the woman I talk to says that she will give me an appt and the person who does the prescriptions will be able to get it filled while I wait for the prescription. This person by the name of Shelly called me and refused to give me the prescription at least until my appt. date in 3 weeks. I told Shelly that is makes no sense that since there is zero diagnostic tests that need to be preformed in order to get the prescription. But Shelly did not care and she was very condescending. With a tone of matter of fact. The dr. is responsible for the attitudes his staff has. If Shelly is certain that she will not get into trouble for A) her attitude and B) denying a refill prescription for 3 weeks since they don't even call to remind their patients for prescription refill appts. then this attitude is fostered by the dr.s inability to deal with or manager people. I will be going to my appt and I will be making a formal complaint. But if I am not satisfied by the time I leave I will be looking for another dr.

Do yourself and find a better doctor :) All the 4-5 star reviews are fake :)

Dr. Hung and his staff are awesome! Super easy to work with. I've been taking my uncle here for years and he always gets the care he needs. They know what they are doing.
