Lance M. Siegel's Online Review Report Card

It makes me upset that the lobby is still closed. This office makes children wait in the car with their parent before letting them sit inside between each area of the clinic. This week is the hottest part of the year. How is it fair that children have to go from inside to outside several times for their appointments since the lobby is closed? I called yesterday and was told that lobby was indeed open. You know the staff inside is nice and cool with the air conditioning running. But forget about the children. Oh yeah don’t forget that mask.🙄

Don’t forget your mask because they won’t provide you with one. They literally told me to go purchase some before they will check us in. Also, the fact that they make you send your insurance card before the appointment means literally nothing because the man at the front desk wouldn’t even check the email for them. He has a serious god complex. This is the only pediatric ophthalmologist in the desert which apparently means they don’t have to have any standards of costumer service. This is exactly why I started taking my daughter to Loma Linda after 1 visit with them 10 years ago. The worst. Stop treating people like second class citizens because they have no other option here.

It makes me so sad to see all these reviews for Dr. Siegel. When I was three years old I started seeing Dr. Siegel and when I was four I had a major eye surgery. Now, almost 20 years later, my eyes are in great condition thanks to him. He made what should’ve been a traumatic experience so much better, and I always think about how much he made me smile and laugh during my visits with him. The wait is long, but do what my mom did and bring games and pack a lunch. Some of my favorite memories are of my mom and I in the waiting room to see him. So many Karen’s in these reviews.

I'm not sure why there are so many 1 star reviews, although after reading through them, they seem to point out the long wait time and/or a rude staff. Well, I agree, the wait time is long, but if you aren't patient enough to wait up to 4 hours for your child to get the help they need, then you're a pretty selfish parent. Bring some activities to do with your child, some food and water, and you'll be just fine. I'd much rather have a doctor spend hours on my children, then to barely give them the time of day. As for the staff, they were very friendly when I was there. Maybe they hired a new staff since those 1 star reviews are pretty old, or maybe someone had a bad experience and decided to blame it on the staff when it could've just been a problem with their insurance. Who knows... but this doctor was great. He told me exactly what was going on and he told a lot of jokes, making the patient feel as comfortable as possible. We saw 3 different specialists in the same appointment, and I've never seen that before. They do some amazing work over there, and if you're hesitant to go here because of a few 1 star reviews, I don't think you have anything to worry about. Take a chance on this doctor, and I promise it will be well worth your time, and will be in the best interest of your child.

Pack a big lunch with snacks something for the family, extremely long wait. Staff professional and potentially the doctor very friendly loves his field of study with gifted hands. He r hands ✋. Thank God for a man with passion.

Dr. Siegel saved my daughter’s eyesight. If it weren’t for him, she would be blind. Yes, the wait time is long, but I will take the wait for his expertise and care. My family will forever be grateful to him.

Stay away !!!!

Got eye surgery and my eye is diluted after years still and has a glare still blurry vision. (Came in for eye injury)

Dr. Lance Siegel is an amazing doctor most of the time you won’t see him you have to be specific when booking appointment. To call and book an appointment is always a hassle I call like I’m trying win tickets on the radio ( over and over until someone picks up) Both my kids had eye surgery and I would not have picked anyone else to do it. I have to give a 3 because the staff the physician is a 5 hands down! i work for an eye doctor we let all our patients know it will be up to two hour wait, you have to get your eyes dilated and it takes time. So when going to specialist please be patient. Overall I take my kids to a new physician because they have mild eye issues but if your child needs a retina Specialist this is your go to! No pediatric retina Specialist is better!
