Usha Mantha's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Mantha is an excellent doctor, she listened to my problems, she explained all the options. I will definitely recommend clients to her.

I haven't been seeing Dr. Mantha for very long and I totally understand that Covid has make things more difficult. That being said, my latest visit to her office was terrible. Dr. Mantha's bedside manner was very dismissive, curt and a little all over the place. I did not feel like she listened to me or allowed me to ask questions. When I did get a question/comment in, it was as if she hadn't even looked at my file before walking into the room. She gave me no warning that she was starting my pap smear or breast exam. The whole experience made me feel like I was just an inconvenience in her busy day. If you like a doctor who is super direct, to the point with no fluffiness and really knows her stuff, then Dr. Mantha might be for you. I will be finding a new doctor.

Dr. Mantha  is extremely thorough with your exams. She is to the point and really  gives you all the information you need to know for your good health. She spends a lot of time with each patient but stays on schedule.  I love going to Dr. Mantha. She is an excellent female doctor and she really understands her patients.

Update:I haven't yet received an apology from the offending party mentioned below. However, I am extremely impressed with the quick and efficient attempt to remedy the situation. Ryan from Upland Medical Group, not only apologized, but was able to get me a referral without even having to visit the PC office that Gina is employed at (#Win). Additionally Ryan was knowledgeable about the OBGYN that he referred me to, was on stand by to ensure I actually was able to make an appointment that was sooner than a week, and offered guidance on choosing a different primary care provider, AND a pediatrician for the baby on the way. Ryan was honest, patient, solution oriented and went above and beyond. It's because of him and his level of service that this review is being updated. Thanks to Ryan, I look forward to a long and thriving relationship with Upland Medical Group/Pomona Valley Medical Group.Previous Review:Dr. Mantha's staff member "Gina" that handles booking appointments for upland medical group was beyond rude and made an already stressful situation even more stressful. She started being nicer once I asked for her name, but she was anything but understanding or helpful.  I'm almost 7 months pregnant, have not seen a physician... it took forever for United health care to reassign my primary care physician and receive the card. I'm desperately trying to get prenatal care and HAVE to have a referral to do that. I sincerely hope that Gina isn't an accurate representation of the level of service Dr. Mantha provides. If she is, I'm glad it's only a referral... May update this review after I actually meet with Mantha on the 19th of feb

Dr. Mantha is the best! I started with her when I was diagnosed with cancer 12 years ago. She was so kind. Through cancer, surgeries, chemo and radiation, all sorts of medical needs come up. She would ALWAYS get me in right away if I needed her. I could call and they would tell me to come right in. Dr. Mantha always made time. She is very busy, but gives you the time you need and takes care of your needs. I have referred several family members to her. My Mom is now getting excellent care!

I was a little disappointed that she looked straight at her computer to get an analysis of me before she had even asked me a single question. She looked at my age and weight and stated that I needed to make sure I exercise at least 3 times per week because my weight was a little high and I am in my mid 40's. I then explained my body fat was not high and my weight is muscle mass due to being an endurance marathon runner. Yes, I weigh 140 but I am a size 4 and run over 100 miles per month.
