Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital's Online Review Report Card

My dad is staying here and he's alive so far so good five star. I was even able to talk to him with the assistance.. which is a double five star..

I came in with a blocked intestine (8/14-17/21). I was in severe pain and in need. The staff nurses and doctors in the main hospital fifth floor was excellent, caring and calm. I felt the whole time that they went the extra yard to care for me and on the evening and night of the 16th they went far above and beyond helping breakdown the blockage and allowing me to move into a recovery phase.

I was just released from a 3 day hospitalization at Henry Mayo due to severe anemia, and an abnormality in my heart.My nurse Tim was AMAZING! My doctor came in and spoke to me about my heart abnormality, and I wasn’t fully understanding exactly what the abnormality meant, or exactly what is was. As soon as my doctor left, Tim immediately took the time to explain everything to me in a way that made sense, and I completely understood when he was done explaining everything.I feel like he really went the extra mile in everything he did, and I’m so grateful he was one of my nurses. He was so caring and gentle, he really made me feel like I was important and that I matter. He is funny, his laugh is contagious, and he has the best personality. He is so knowledgeable, and just lit up like it was Christmas morning when explaining everything to me.He obviously loves his job, and is meant to be a nurse and help people during their time of need. I hope management knows and appreciates what an asset he is to their Hospital.I give Henry Mayo 5 stars, and would ABSOLUTELY recommend this hospital to family and friends.

When for Covid vaccine it was nice and easy.

Went here for COVID vaccine. Plenty of parking (including several EV charging stations). Very organized with lots of staff. Very accommodating and overall excellent and relaxed experience. Definitely looking forward to coming back for second dose. Shout out to Stephanie for being "extra" and answering all my questions.

Loved the care my father received at Henry Mayo. We were kept well informed on everything. The entire staff was fantastic. My Dad had wonderful care, from the aids to Drs., and the nursing staff was just awesome and so very loving/caring.Thanks to everyone for saving my dad’s life.

This is a very good hospital. Had robotic prostatectomy surgery there. Very good experience there. I was treated very good there.

I’ve been in the medical field for over 10 years and sadly I’ve never received good healthcare as a patient until I went to this hospital. I’ve been in 2 roll over motor vehicle accidents in my life with other medical issues. Never had a felt like I received the care I needed. All the staff at Henry mayo were extremely nice and actually showed compassion while just speaking to me. My nurse, Lola, was the best nurse I’ve ever come across in my lifetime. She is what more nurses should be like. She was simply kind, and caring and helped me with anything that she could. My doctor, Dr. Leicher, was also one of the best doctors I’ve ever seen. He showed sincerity in his concern for my issue and was so kind. Even the registration person was amazing. Also Sean did my X-ray and was so professional and respectful. This hospital is amazing and so good at what they do. Thank you Henry Mayo.
