List of Irene Woo's Reviews
First off, we are really sorry for not leaving this review earlier. Me and my other half started this journey back January 2020 right before crazy Covid times began. We are from Hawaii and there are no doctors in the 808 state that would do a tube reversal procedure. We decided to go and meet Dr. Mor and Dr. Woo in Encino, CA in January 2020. After her 3 child (in her first marriage) she decied to cut and burn the tubes for her birth control. I myself also had 2 girls with my ex wife. So this puts us at 5 kids in this blended family but we wanted one of our own. We could of went with IVF in Hawaii but the cost was high and we felt that a tube reversal will give us more chances and if it was meant to be, it would happen with us making this baby. Not to mention, its a whole lot funner to go this route. The procedure was everything that they said it would be and done at another location (not at their office in Encino). It was done in the downtown Hollywood area on Sunset Blvd. So the Mrs. had the procedure done with no complications and given Ibuprofen 800mg prescription 2 days prior to procedure (we needed to pick up at a local Walgreens). So procedure went well and a really small incision and scar after the procedure.I'm not going to lie, we were very skeptical at first of this even working because the Mrs. was also 42 when we decided to do the procedure so time was not on our side. We also thought we would get ripped off because there was a chance, once they cut the Mrs. open, the tubes could be too damaged or too short and they would not be able to join them together and we would not get a refund as payment must be done before the procedure. This is all disclosed prior to us even leaving Hawaii so we was praying for the best of course, as this was a gamble. We were told to get started to make a baby once her next cycle begins. So we did and 6 months later, we were pregnant. Unfortunately we had a miscarriage around week 6 or week 7. Baby would of been born around 5/4/2021. Yes it was going to be a Covid baby as we were all locked down and sheltered in place at that time and nothing better to do than make babies. Lol. We kept trying and did not get pregnant again and even did a few IUI's and was unsuccessful. So we figure it wasn't meant to be. We were so happy at least we got pregnant the first time and the tube reversal procedure was a success. Once we stop trying and gave up checking ovulation peek times and counting most fertile days, we got pregnant again. Now we had a due date of 5/5/2022. A year later after our other baby's due date. Wow, we were so excited. So we had our baby on 4/29/2022 to a baby boy. Baby is now over 3 months and thriving and doing well. Our baby was diagnosed with pulmonary atresia with a VSD also known as TOF (Tetralogy of Fallot). Unfortunately this is a rare condition and there was no reason why it happens. But it happend to us. This has nothing to do with the tube reversal or anything that was link to our chromosomes. It just happens and it happened to us. So at 34 weeks of pregnancy, we needed to go back to California to stay until he was born. Again, no one in Hawaii could do this type of work, he needed a heart repair after birth. Our son has strong ties to California and his 1st heart surgery was done at UCSF and went well. So he has been our miracle baby.So for anyone that wants to get a tube reversal, we would highly recommend this place for sure.
No this lady made conditions that never existed according to my OBGYN.Then after everything failed wanted me to go through ACUPUNCTURE!! What's next? Astrology???
After a year of four cancelled cycles and a failed embryo transfer, we decided it was time to look for the best in the infertility field. It’s not an easy task but we left my fertility doctor and started interviewing potential fertility doctors. My partner and I consulted with three highly rated fertility doctors, and we felt the most comfortable with Dr. Irene Woo. She was direct, clear, thorough and most importantly she listened. Dr. Woo took the time provided a programmed or medicated plan during our first consultation. She also did a vaginal ultrasound to see where I was with ovulation. We left California Center for Reproductive Health with a smile, we felt comfortable and confident that we would be in good hands with Dr. Woo. I’m happy to say on the first try for our embryo transfer Dr. Woo was successful in getting me pregnant! We would recommend Dr. Woo because of her knowledge and professionalism combined with a great human approach that makes you feel comfortable during

Although Dr. Woo wasn't our primary doctor through this process there were a few times when we needed medical answers and she was amazing at getting back to us quickly, giving us all the information we needed and reassuring us as we needed.
She made it possible for us to get pregnant with 2 rounds of IUI.
We were referred to Dr. Woo by our OBGYN after many failed attempts at getting pregnant. Dr. Woo and her staff are amazing! They were very detailed, explained all the steps, and made sure we understood everything. Fast forward to today, we now have a 2month healthy baby boy! We are extremely grateful to have had her as our doctor!
I went to the California Center for Reproductive Health for a consultation about egg freezing in December 2021. Dr. Woo was referred to me by a close friend who had the procedure done a few years prior and I've already sent her info to several other friends - Dr. Woo is excellent.I went into the consultation nervous (of course!) and Dr. Woo was exactly the type of provider I love working with. She was clear and direct about what to expect both in terms of outcome and what the experience would be like for me. She broke down some really complex medical information into bite size pieces that my non-sciencey brain could understand easily. She's also warm and funny!! Not a requirement but a real perk when you're feeling super anxious.I did my egg retrieval about a month after the initial consultation and the process and procedure were exactly as Dr. Woo described. I was nervous about giving myself injections but the nurse who taught me how to do it (Beatrice) was very thorough and kind and made me feel confident in my ability to do it (and I did it!!!).I cannot underscore enough how great everyone I came in contact with was. Everyone at the front desk, all of the nurses, the financial person - everyone was calm and warm and put me at ease when I was feeling so anxious about the whole thing. I will absolutely come back to Dr. Woo if I need fertility help in the future or if I end up using my eggs and I will continue to refer anyone who wants to do this.
Worst experience I've ever had with a doctor. She literally made me cry in her office because of how pissed off she got at us for requesting a simple progesterone test be done (blood test; no risk at all to perform). She was beside herself (very visibly upset). She said to me, and I quote, "This isn't a la carte; you can't just order what you want done." It blew my mind. If you want an experience where you can't ask any questions or have any say in your own medical treatment whatsoever, then this is the doctor for you.
Dr. Woo is a brilliant doctor who has the goal of having you leave the clinic pregnant. When you enter into the world of infertility a lot of changes and finding a clinic that supports you and comes alongside you in this journey is the most important element. This is something you will get when you choose California Center for Reproductive Health. You will be treated like a person, not just another patient. Along with this, the office and nursing staff are the kindest people and by the time of our graduation, they all felt like family. We are forever grateful for CCRH and can't wait for our baby to hear all about how these amazing people helped us become a family!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
