List of Mae M Ushigome's Reviews
Cold, robotic, and condescending. If you like to be in and out for a PAP then she's probably your go-to. If you're there for something more than a swab she's annoyed with you for just being a patient.
Poor bedside manner. I was excited for my first pregnancy appointment and i just felt terrible leaving. Felt like she couldn't wait to move on to the next patient. Can only imagine what she'd be like when giving birth. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
This doctor has absolute zero bed side manner. Didn’t even bother introducing herself. Rude. Degrading. All just overall unpleasant person.
At first i wasnt So sure about her ! she rushed in our appointments and Didn’t really. Give me to much info & i was Really scared to be going into a c section with her. But at the end she really knows what’s she is doing !! Not only that but my scar is perfect u can’t even tell i had a second section! She has a great team and she finished everything so quickly. I Recommend her she’s good !
Great doctor for prenatal visits, Ushigome is very reassuring in her practice and gives care to your baby while in the womb. Very assertive and professional and I want to say thank you for giving me a great experience through my pregnancy!
I saw Dr. Ushigome in nurse triage at Kaiser Pan City due to complications in pregnancy. I immediately could tell she had poor bedside manner, interrupted me, would not explain, and was very cold. When I expressed concerns she looked at me as if what I was saying was not valid or stupid. In addition, due to complications in the hospital my son was unable to have circumcision after delivery. I ended up having to see her yet again and she performed the circumcision. She did not meet with us prior to the procedure and when the nurse let us return to the room she saw us coming back and did not even acknowledge us to explain how it went. My son was screaming for at least 15 minutes (which may be normal) when I finally was able to quiet him we asked to talk to her to find out how it went as we had some questions. When she finally came to talk to us she was standoffish and her answers were short and very curt. Avoid this Dr. if you can. I am not sure why she is in the profession as she does not seem to enjoy CARING for people.
I was experiencing severe pain due to fibroids and endometriosis. I had very little knowledge on the matter. She educated me and left me with a clear understanding of what I was dealing with and what to expect in order to remedy the situation. I underwent surgery, performed by Dr. Mae and was pleased with the outcome. She followed up with me post op and provided me with exceptional after care. I would recommend her to any woman that experienced what I suffered from.
Wow...I just had my first visit with Dr. Ushigome and will be changing my doctor right away. I’ve never had a doctor that just sucks the joy out of your prenatal visit like she did. Doesn’t smile, didn’t care to introduce herself, was a very cold person. She dismissed my concerns as “well you’re pregnant so...”. The ultrasound machine didn’t work and would not print pictures, she had no sympathy and pretty much had a “it is what it is, too bad so sad” reaction. Barely showed me the screen to see
She didn’t seem to care about any of the questions that I had about my health, didn’t bother to respond to my emails and when she did respond she’d dismiss my queries without any explanation like I’m an idiot to be even be concerned about my health issues.
I feel botched up and was left for someone else to figure what went wrong.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
