Dr. Chow and his assistants did a fantastic job...very professional, efficient, and no-nonsense.  I'll recommend them to all my friends and family.  I had skin cancer on my ear...see the photos.  Dr. Chow is practically a plastic surgeon.  He even called me this morning to see how I was doing.  I wasn't able to speak with him because I was on the other line but he left a voicemail.  This is the 2nd cancer he's removed from me and his attention to all details is superb.  Thank you, Dr. Chow.

Nothing especial, first time with a dermatologist, you better have a good idea about what your issues are, because they are not checking anything else. They have treated my wife very good, but with a male, they didn't. They were nice although.

I work as a Utility Lineman and have a long history of skin cancers (all but melanoma, so far, thankfully) and have been seen by several dermatologists, from central California to southern California. Some were OK, others were terrible. Dr. McCray, Dr. Chow, are excellent and their outstanding PA, Laura Stevenson and awesome staff are the best I have found. I am willing to drive 150 miles 'each way' to be seen by them and have done so for 10 years, and to either office, if needed, all for good reason. They're simply the best. Sound too good? Spend 40+ years working in the sun as I have, you'll be grateful this staff is there for you, I am. Thanks McCray Dermatology!

If you like honest business... don't go here. Dr. McCray struggles to communicate and his billing lady Linda is the biggest problem wrong with the business.We had multiple problems:My husband and I went to see Dr. McCray after changing to a PPO... our experience in office was mediocre... nothing I couldn't have gotten from my prior HMO plan ( we don't have any major skin issues as of now) , In fact we may have even gotten better service at Facey.1.Dr. McCray failed to inform my husband of his moles to watch but quickly informed me in my appointment of what he had "told my husband to watch", NONE of which he made mention to my husband about...2. We paid at the time of our visits what the front office told us would be our TOTAL charges. $100 each. About two months later we received in the mail a bill for $48 more for my husband but nothing more at the time owed for me. I called (because I had been to told that I had already paid my charges in full at the time of my visit) I got transferred to LINDA in billing. Linda is more than rude, abrasive, and surely not willing to work with you. She answers the phone ready to fight.After I informed her of the situation she informed me that the extra charge of $48 was for the amount of time the Dr. took seeing my husband... HOW IS THAT LEGAL?!?! If I ( or anyone) knew I was paying for time by the minute I wouldn't ask a single question God forbid I actually had something wrong with me-- how can someone get adequate care if they are charged like that?! I hung up with Linda annoyed.My Husband then called and Linda did the same thing to him... she was rude, unwilling to work with us and recognize the mistake. My husband asked if she could speak with the Doctor about it to which she finally agreed and then informed him the Doctor doesn't usually make exceptions.... GUESS who called saying that the $48 was no longer owed.... LINDA3. I then had to inform Linda she never sent my information to my insurance ( I wanted what I paid to actually be applied to my deducible)... she said I would owe the same as my husband ($48) plus more for the freezing of a wart ( which they wanted me to come back in every two weeks until it was gone, can you say $$$$$$)... for a total of "probably" $140-- fast forward to waiting for that bill... and once again Linda was was WAY off... I only owed $92.... we didn't fight this one because it's just not WORTH IT.Linda made sure that this office will NEVER get my business again and I will tell anyone who listens or asks that this office is not the place to go.

I just want to let everyone know that McCray Dermatology is one of the best places to go to for dermatology. They office staff treat you like family. I never have to wait when I have an appt. They do not over schedule their patients. Now Dr Chow who does the mohs surgery is the greatest and the best! I have been seeing him for about 3 years He has done 8 of my mohs surgery to remove my cancer!  I have never met such a caring doctor like Dr Chow. If your looking for the best place to go I would have to say McCray Dermatology.  I still can't get over how nice the staff is, Everyone comes in to say hi when I'm there!!! They are the best! And you will never find a better surgeon than Dr Chow!!! They have two offices, one in Valencia and another in Palmdale!!! Give them a call today!!!!

I have visited McCray Dermatology for over a year (two visits).  Arrival to time of treatment has been 5 minutes or less each visit.  I'm 68 and have a few seborrheic keratoses, usually upon my back, which manifest every now and then and Laura Stevenson examines each carefully, accurately determines they are non-cancerous and gives me the option of letting them be, but if unsightly or itch and I would like them removed she will use cryosurgery (liquid nitrogen) to remove them.  The current receptionist, Debbie, their assistant, Denise and Laura Stevenson, their Certified Physician Assistant, have each been extremely professional and polite.  I have never experienced any appointment delay, appointment difficulties or any billing issues.
