Best of the best! I had a herniated disc that broke and caused nerve damage to my left foot. I was told if they went in soon and removed the broken piece and cleaned up the remaining disc, I had a very good chance of the nerves regenerating within 6 months to one year. Immediately upon waking up from surgery I had complete feeling in my foot. The recovery process was better than expected and I am well on my way to complete freedom to resume all the activities I use to do. I am a very active 65 year old man who enjoys cycling at a competitive level.Dr. Barcohana and his staff are the best of the best!I have had other surgeries at SCOI and in every instance the results have exceeded my expectations. If your insurance allows you to use SCOI, I highly recommend them. They are a notch above!!

I have seen Dr. Barcohana since 2009. He has performed three l5-s1 back surgeries. They have came out great. Brought my quality of life back. He is also a good man.

I was very pleased because Dr. Barcohana is not knife happy. My first opinion with another doctor was a four disc fusion in my lumbar area, a significant surgery with a long recovery. Dr. Barcohana is more conservative. He recommended starting with epidurals because the pain was coming from the discs pinching nerves rather than from the discs themselves. After two epidurals, the pain was gone.

Dr. Barcohana and his staff were so professional, caring and helpful from pre op through post op. I highly recommend him, and would go back with any other back issues.

I travelled from Colorado to see Dr. Barcohana who accommodated my need to quickly undergo surgery due to my own timing limitations. After my first visit I was recovering from the surgery only 12 days later. While I know full recovery takes weeks to months, I find my leg pain issue disappearing more and more every day and so much better that both my wife and I are amazed and relieved.

Doctor did my thoracic spine Laminectomy October 3, 2022. I’m already back to business and feeling 100%. No more paralysis in my left leg or private area and absolutely 0 pain! Dr. Barkahana is the best!
