Everyone was great. My surgery experience was very nice and After two weeks I’m in far less pain than I was before my surgery.

When I first saw Dr. Barcohana. I was in intense pain and could barely walk. I was suffering from severe spinal stenosis. Surgery was scheduled (I had already done an array of non-invasive procedures) and the day after surgery, I was walking pain free. One week after surgery, I am happy to say that I am walking a mile a day and thoroughly enjoying my life. Dr. Barcohana couldn't have been more compassionate and caring. He explained everything to me and answered all of my questions. I have nothing but praise for this doctor and his skills.

I am not the person to give a rating, but in this case, I make an exception! I would highly recommend Dr. Barcohana to anyone suffering from neck or back pain. Seeing him for the first time gave me hope that there was a chance I could get better. It has only been a couple weeks after he performed my ACDF surgery. I am sleeping through the night for the first time in years! I am so grateful for his knowledge and expertise! Plus, his staff is so supportive as well!

I was very hesitant to have this surgery performed. I had severe pain, I could not sit down for more than 5 minutes, extreme lower back pain. Left foot drop, I could not tap my left foot, left sided weakness. Dr. B could not promise restoration of my left side because unfortunately, the insurance company denied my surgery and we fought back and forth for over 2 years. I had a double fusion L-4,L-5,S-1. I'm 2 weeks post-op and I was in tears when I sat down and discovered I could tap my foot again, lift my left leg, no more drop foot!!! Dr B. and his team did an amazing job. Although his assistant could benefit from better bedside manners, they are a great team and excellent office staff!

I had suffered from on again off again sciatic pain for over 30 years. This last bout has had me in pain 24/7 , and it was going on a year! I went from doctor to doctor, went through different injections and finally I got a referral to Dr Barcohana. He was great from the start. Suggesting, then trying everything but surgery but no luck for me, surgery was in my future! I felt very good about the decision and his team made me feel secure with my choice. Surgery went great. First couple of days truthfully I wasn’t a happy camper, but as I rounded day 5 post-op I was amazed at the improvement! The pain that I’d had for so long was gone!! I checked in for my 2 week post-op and everyone was very happy with my progress!! I still have some healing to do, and I will take it slow but I’m so happy that I’m finally off to a wonderful start.

My surgical experience was great! Of course, you go in with trepidations in your heart. You are not sure of what you’re near future will be like. but Dr. Barcohana and his team were very professional and caring. My post-op visit was through and comprehensive. PA, Esther Kisimoto, & Dr. Barcohana gave me a clear understanding of my progress & prognosis. I really appreciate their expertise.
