Excellent.
To Whom It May Concern: I'm writing this letter about Dr. Contreras, the psychiatrist I see at Antelope Valley Mental Health Center. I have been a DMH member since year 2017. Dr. Contreras is a doctor who really cares about his patient’s well-being. Under the care of Dr. Contreras, I'm able to have a voice again and taking charge of my health. Dr. Contreras is not the topical doctor, I had from DHM that would prescribe me medication, ask me few questions and make me sit until the psych writes a summary on the computer. Dr. Contreras educates about the medical issues I have. I understand I am mentally ill and I have learned to live with it and expect it because Dr. Contreras doesn't be little or label me. Dr. Contreras is a one of a kind he has helped me realize how life is beautiful. Dr. Contreras saved my life by listening to what I was had to say. To me time is worth more than anything. Money comes and goes, materials fade or break but time; you can't buy time back. I was very hurt prior to my sessions with Dr. Contreras. He helped by not labeling me, made feel safe and comfortable. During my first visit we were chatting and didn't have enough time, he took the time to message the front to let his next patient that he was running a little long, and luckily the next patient was running late. Putting a patient first is the type of care that I have been looking for my mental health, which is similar to style to my physical health, and I have found that doctor. After the first visit I called my insurance and let them know I have a great psychiatrist how can I always chose him. Insurance said it is called “continued care”. This would allow me to keep Dr. Contreras if my insurance changes. Each time I went to visit Dr. Contreras I feel like a plant that was getting enough water, nourishment, and sun light. I am able to stand up for myself without the fear of retaliation or becoming anxious. I have learned some medication was a crutch and things do get better in life. Under Dr. Contreras care I have had zero panic and anxiety attacks. Dr. Contreras has helped me realize that all the medication in the world would not solve any of my problems, that I would need to have therapy to deal with childhood problems, and learn new ways to express my feelings, and techniques to help my reaction to various situations. My plans are to cope with life to someday return to work even if a part time job. I can’t thank Dr. Contreras enough for helping me set the foundation for the next chapter in my life.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
