List of Gary L. Wade's Reviews
Dr Wade is extremely nice and his staff helped me get the most out of my insurance. I don't require glasses or contacts and they were able to help me get two pairs of sunglasses through my insurance. Dr Wade appears knowledgeable although he didn't have much to say about my eyes, however my vision has always been pretty good. I did like when he was talking to me he didn't come off hurried and ready to get to the next patient, he took the time to get to know me a bit.
Very inconvienant hours. Mon-thurs 9-5 closed at lunch. Overcharge for exams to insurance then pay out nose for glasses and contacts. I've been wearing contacts for30years last doc didn't overcharge and I paid about 100 after deductible for year supply this one 120 for 6 month. Was not so nice about my asking for all of our prescriptions. Will not return.
I found that some of Dr.Wade's statements were questionable. No doubt, nutrition can affect eye health, but he told me to lay off soda and sweetened teas and rarely drink that stuff. I question some of the things he would tell me about my eye health and have not experienced this with other eye docs. Also, I ordered contacts that ended up being all dried up and the packaging looked like it had been tampered with.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
