List of Lamar J. Bushnell's Reviews
Dr. Lamar Bushnell, lead surgeon with Dr. jennifer Wan performed an extensive Cardiothoracic surgery for my son in December 2019. The emergent, life-saving 10+ hour surgery was successfully performed saving my son’s life. I’m thankful for their skill, confidence and determination. Additionally, Dr. Bushnell’s caring nature was reassuring to Marc and our family.
My husband had to have emergency triple bypass surgery on Saturday March 27th. I am so thankful that Dr. Bushnell was the surgeon on call that day. He and his amazing team were able to take such great care of my husband before, during and after surgery. He also respected our religious beliefs. He performed the surgery without blood. Because of his great care there was minimal blood loss and a speedy recovery. THANK YOU! minimal blood loss and a very speedy recovery
I lost my dad under this drs. Care. My dad was having severe chest pain and he would not come in earlier than the scheduled surgery time to help him. He suffered a massive heart attack as a result. Then bushnell did a 13 hour surgery on a clinically dead man. No care. No explanation. Nothing.
Dr. Bushnell is a number one cardiologist !
I'm waiting to go under the knife for a triple bypass. It's a great way to start the New Year.
Dr. Bushnell is simply amazing! My cousin had a tumor wrapped around the inside of his lung and Dr. Bushnell and his team not only successfully removed but he continuously checked on him throughout the recovery process directly, coming by his room and seeing how he was doing, and ensured the nursing staff watched after him. Truly bless such a skilled professional is nearby to do the right thing!
Someone said he cares more about the money than the care he provides. I find that absurd. I had I heart attack and crashed on the 405 in rush hour. got back to Ventura County Hospital. He came from his office to see me with no insurance, no job or money just SSDI. They told me at the Hospital i need a three way bypass, and they had to find someone to do it, they said If I left with out treatment I would die. This is the man that came. Told me not to worry about the money or insurance. they got me on medicaid in just a few days. My medicare was due to start in three or four months, and I think they got it started early. He saved my life, and never made me feel like it was anything about money. I only wish i was in California now. I have to have an artery drilled out or something, and they say it is high risk. I trust him. I wish he was fixing this. they can;t fix what ever it is with a stent.
A year ago I lost a family member because of this Drs neglect. Family member begged for help as he had chest pain, then he Suffered a massive heart attack , bushnell performed a 13 hour surgery on a clincally dead man. We were led to believe lies. Nurses completely lied. He would still be here if bushnell would of helped him quicker. Bushnell could care less, it wasn't his family member. If it was important to him he would of quickly acted not wait days. I don't believe anybody was even with him when he had the heart attack because the nurse was working 4 or 5 rooms. Every minute counts after a massive heart attack. He would still be here with a different dr. And hospital.
Was not honest with my family. We were so devastated by him. He refused to come in any earlier even when it was urgent. Person suffered a massive heart attack. Then he performs a 13 hour sugery on a clinically dead person to collect payment for a completed surgery. Then, tells the family lies about the condition. So unethical Not truthful. Money driven. Cold
Our family was devastated by him. I hope more people do research before trusting their loved one to him. My dad was in severe chest pain and scheduled for surgery, but bushnell wouldn't come in before his scheduled time of surgery, even when he had severe chest pain so my dad suffered a massive heart attack. He then did a 13 hour surgery on a clinically dead man so that he could still collect payment for a completed surgery. So unethical. He didnt think of us, just the money

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
