Just called to schedule an appointment with Dr. Ficks, based on all the great reviews she has received. Unfortunately, I was informed that she is now only taking HMO patients, she no longer accepts other insurance like Medicare, PPOs, or cash. Bummed.

I have only just started seeing Dr. Fisks but I'm more then impressed from her bedside manor to her knowledge. She is one of the most compassionate doctors, and I am so grateful to have the privilege of being under her care. Every test I have had done (from ultrasound to biopsy) she has made sure to let me know what exactly is being done and what our next step is. Even on her days off she called me and see how I was doing.

I can't say enough good about Dr. Ficks / she is not only highly skilled but compassionate and truly concerned about her patients beyond the diagnoses and proper treatment, which are always right on. Although I wish she had kept her Simi office as well as her new domicile,so those who are now sooo far away could get to see her nearby, I will follow her to the ends of the earth if necessary. God Bless He

She Doesn't listen. Recommended removing half my thyroid gland. Parathyroid Expert said idont need to remove any tissue from my thyroid.

Dr. Ficks doesn't need a great review...I think she has more patients than she can handle. She is absolutely wonderful. She's smart and takes her job seriously. She listens well, asks intelligent questions and is a fabulous diagnostician. I recommend her without reservation. You just cannot get a smarter or better Endocrinologist. I think she has saved my life.
