I have been seeing Dr Ruthsnfor over 5 years to treat ADHD and bipolar disorder. I find him very easy to converse with and enjoyable to interact with. If you've seen a psychiatrist who seems to be using a one-man "good cop bad cop" to assess your responses, You probably understand. It also impresses me how his staff responds to real emergency need to get a hold of the doctor With an appropriate sense of urgency. :) And best of all the doctor listens and provides his response as recommendations with their rationales rather than the ultimatum from the MD.

Finally Moving On... Been seeing Dr. Ruths for over a decade. The service was always sorta meh... at med checks, he's always like, "Well, hang in there." Many times it's obvious he hasn't even reviewed my file before my quarterly appt. He just doesn't seem that interested...

Least compassionate psychiatrist I've ever done an intake with, and I've seen some really difficult psychs. Kept me waiting over half an hour past my spot time. Barely looked up at me from his paperwork. I felt so terrible by the time I left the initial intake I've never gone back. Would never advise anyone to take a teen or child to this doctor.

Worst doctor ever !!! Do not have your loved see him at all !!!!!! He doesn’t care about anyone. He’s very arrogant and useless. !!

I waited more than two months and drove 45 minutes only to be told I didn't have an appointment. The staff was rude and dismissive and said I'd need to wait another two months to get an appointment. I know made the appointment because she ran my insurance card, told me the direction and to call from parking lot, etc. I did that but no one answered, and when I knocked on door they said they didn't even have my name. Very rude and unprofessional.
