List of Desert Valley Hospital's Reviews
I decided to transfer with Dr. Zand after 30 weeks of pregnancy. Because I wasn’t sure and comfortable with my two prior OB. And this is the best decision I ever made this year I have my baby at 41 weeks, Natural, and we are both healthy. The staff are very excellent, nice and care. I might end up being induce or even c-section if I am not transfer here. I am so glad and thankful to Dr. Zand who trusted me that I can do natural delivery. And there is 1 outstanding OB Nurse name ‘Edee’, she is the best Nurse I ever had. No body like here. And I am not gonna make it if she is not the person who God sent to help me and my baby. Thank you so much Desert Valley Hospital for your amazing services. I definitely will continue working with this hospital for any circumstances.
all the nurses have been so nice & caring here. they always make sure im comfortable & they answer any questions i may have. i have not delivered any of my children here, but i am really looking forward to the experience. thank you Desert Valley Hospital for taking care of my during my visits.
My hubby went in for chest pain…by the 2nd day they found several serious health issues. They took great care of him. Nurses are very kind! 3 specialist Drs helped him LIVE, thx be to God. Day 5 we went home!
Everyone that worked there were great. Daisy and Joyce and Wilber went over and beyond. Terri*
Horrible
The worst hospital you could go to in the entire high desert, the shortest wait times are typically 5-8 hours for the emergency room and about 2-4 hours when you have an appointment. They have some of the most rude staff who are unhelpful and very short tempered, I wouldn't recommend going here.
Went in for same day hand surgery. Impressed with the care and procedures. 10 out of 10
I had muscle spasming and pain in my lower left back/a little of my side and hip. The pain was so bad i could feel it making my arm numb and i could start to feel it in my left leg. The spasms were severely painful. Was also having shallow breathing. Came in via ambulance at 4:30 am. Emt guy was very kind. Was put in a wheelchair and left in the waiting room. It's now 6: 19 am - Im having severe pain, and it's getting worse In my back, i have muscle spasms that are severe, and im still having a hard time breathing. I asked a nurse for help, and she said she couldn't help . There was another patient needing help. Also, the staff so far seems disinterested about how severe the pain is. Update: they finally at 6:30 am moved me into a back room. It took until 7am, for the doctor to see me. I explained but she kept interrupting me and cut me off. Kept saying it was due to inactivity and the way she said was very flippant. Finally said it was muscle strain and that I need to exercise more. Recommended heat only. Said she has experienced this kind of pain before herself. Said she was giving me norco and a muscle relaxant. It took until 7:30am to actually receive the medication. Then gave me a prescription for ibuprofen and the muscle relaxant. Also given a heat pack. She very briefly looked at my back but didn't even touch or anything. At 8 a.m., I was discharged. No one checked anything. No xrays. No blood test. Nothing. I feel like i could have just stopped breathing, and they wouldn't have even noticed. The medicine helped somewhat. As I was struggling to get into the car to go back home, a nurse came cause I was yelling from the pain. She asked if they had helped. I told her what had happened. She said on my god and rolled her eyes. She said to come back if it's worse and actually seemed to care. Sunday evening pain is somewhat better, but I was still spasming whenever I sat down or laid down and went up from those positions. I was also having stolen ankles mid afternoon. Saw a doctor via telehealth from my insurance - mdlive because ankles were also swelling. He said it was due to sciatica nerve compression. It was probably due to inactivity but he worried about my blood pressure. He was wayyyy more thorough and asked a lot of questions. Dr. said 800mg tynenol can cause fluid retention and increase my blood pressure, so he said to stop taking it and take tyenol instead. I was told to follow up with my regular doctor. The er doctor or whoever she was did not ask hardly any questions. Didn't even check to see if I was needing oxygen. Because when I was talking to her she could hear I was struggling to talk due to breathing problems. Thankfully the breathing did ease up hours later. I feel like this place needs to train their staff better. This was a bad experience for me. I was in severe pain and nobody did anything until 7:30 am. This is like the place is asking for a lawsuit.
Doctors and nurses were very professional. for being in the pain I was in. they took great care of me trying to figure out what was wrong. I didn’t expect to be admitted but I was glad they cared enough not to send me away. In the condition I was in. grateful for their compassion!!
I saw a lot of bad reviews abt this hospital but I still made the visit from out of town for a severe cough. I came around 2:30 pm and was back on the road by 5pm. The waiting room was kinda small and a bit crowded but they got to everyone I was sitting around in a reasonable manner, in my opinion. The nurses were helpful and answered all of my questions. The doctor was ready to help and gave me good advice to help with my additional arm problem. They even sent my prescription to a 24/7 pharmacy. Overall I would return, need be.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
