List of Desert Valley Hospital's Reviews
I brought my girlfriend to the ER on the advice of a nurse. We made the mistake of choosing this one. Given that her condition was worsened by the pressure when sitting, waiting four hours to receive a specimen cup (which sat for an hour before being collected, and only then when I promoted them) was not good. Nor was their ignoring her blood pressure (over 190 at check in). Eventually the pain and the exhaustion forced us to leave, as we were being told that, after more than five hours, we would be waiting a few more hours to be seen.If your life matters to you, you are likely to be seen sooner and in a better facility if you go to Mariupol in Ukraine. Sure there's still a war raging and the hospital has been shelled into oblivion, but the standards of care cannot be any worse than this shithole. Sadly there is no option for zero stars (or fewer).
These were literally all my symptoms and they wasted 7 hours of my time and sent me home. Staff was kind though.
All the bad ratings for this hospital that have been posted within the past 2.5 years should be taken with a grain of salt.. My husband went in with covid and pneumonia on oxygen and came out with no underlaying issues.. we're very lucky.. and I have to give all the credit to the nurses and doctors there.. they're not there to be nice to you.. as much as they would like to be.. I'm sure. They're there to help sick people.. and save lives. My husbands doctor was not nice.. but he got him better and got him back to me healthy and alive.. I'll forever be grateful for the staff at this hospital.
Worst hospital I have ever been to, almost 3 hours so they can see my mother in law that was in really bad pain. If you guys want to die do me a favor and whenever you feel sick come to this place. Nasty ass nurses
I have had both of my sons at the birthplace and let me tell you I absolutely loved it. My most recent birth was about a week and a half ago and it was amazing. They told me ever step of my induction process and where things might change based off of different factors. Everyone worked so well together during my delivery I felt like I was in the best hands. Ashley H was my night nurse and she did everything she could to help me get as much rest as possible. I am so grateful for the team that helped me welcome my babies to the world.
Horrible customer service at the front desk. Dirty hospital.Rude to patients . They were nice to my family member but hearing how they treated other patients were sickening.
The nursing staff in the orthopedic unit are very friendly, patient and considerate. They gave us extra chairs when visiting my aunt in her room, as every room only has 2 chairs. They also answered our questions whenever she was being assessed by the nurse on duty. We know she is in good hands at this hospital and would come back for future healthcare needs.
They sure talk a good game but it is all talk. I'd seriously like to know how many bed changes are they allowed per shift A DNR in place should not mean you are sent to the farthest corner from the nurses desk, not put on any type of moniter ...... She just got out of icu. They always say they CAN. make you comfortable but that doesn't mean THEY WILL. It's been 2 days since they have given her ANYTHING FOR PAIN.It's only been a week since she fractured her hip.She has been sent out to knolls west for rehab twice. Both times sent back in less than 12 hours. I'm sick of the pressure placed on me to put my mom at that horrible facility. Medicare only pays for so many days of rehab. She has lost those days that she went to knolls west which only gave her decline and absolutely NO REHAB GIVEN.STOP FORCING PATIENTS TO GO THERE.
I came here for chest pain and all the medical staff went above and beyond to find out the issue. While my stay I had wonderful nurses and doctors whom I'll always be thankful to.
Let me start off by saying that I am not local to the area & my review is specifically for the monoclonal antibody department; I was in town visiting family when I tested positive for Covid & was very fortunate to receive monoclonal antibody treatment at DV 5 days after testing positive. Though it was initially difficult to get a hold of the MAB dept (only reason I put 4 stars instead of 5), I eventually got through & I was treated really great by all staff. My initial booking phone call was a smooth process, everyone I interacted with was kind, patient, & thorough. They took time to explain to me how they evaluated patients for treatment & what I could expect of the process. They answered all of my concerns even leading up to the day before I received treatment. I also have to give a shout out to nurse Jarrett who administered my treatment for making my experience really great. He, like the rest of the staff, was kind, patient & took the time to go over everything with me prior to receiving treatment. During the process he was friendly & engaging & really put me at ease when I expressed that I was feeling anxious. It was a judgment free zone & he even made my partner & I laugh throughout the whole process. As far as the treatment itself, I felt 90% better about 3 days after receiving the MAB treatment. Very grateful I was able to find Desert Valley when I did & grateful to the staff for my treatment. If you test positive & are high risk, I would highly suggest seeking treatment at Desert Valley. **please note in order for the treatment to be effective you have to receive it within the first 10 days of experiencing symptoms of covid**

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
