List of Glenn P. Matney's Reviews
Thorough is his normal. He is the best pediatrician I have used yet. My child has IEHP open access and he was the only one during COVID that would see her in person while she was sick. Not only that, but he was twice as thorough with his examination for this sick visit as my NOW PREVIOUS pediatrician was with a "physical". I am so impressed, I will not go to another pediatrician from now on.
We've been going to Dr Matney for years. He is an excellent doctor and his staff is kind and professional. They are never over booked. I trust him with my children's medical care completely.
I switched to Dr. Matney when my daughter was 4 years old after multiple ER visits, being seen by specialists at Loma Linda, and steroid breathing treatment, with no answers from her first Pediatrician. Within a week we were seeing a specialist (ENT) and she had surgery a week later. He is an excellent patient centered pediatrician. We now have our infant son seeing him as well! We would highly recommend Dr. Matney!!
Best Doctor in the high desert. So caring, loving, thoughtful. I have been taking my kids to him for the last 13 years and will not change until he decides to retire. The staff is nice and professional. The office is clean. They are great. I can not recommend him enough.
My wife and I have been bringing our son here since birth. Dr. Matney is very good and professional. He listens to all we have to say and explains to us what he is doing. The staff is great and very professional. I have and would let anybody I know that this is the pediatrician to have. When I call on the phone, the wait is not bad and they help me.
Just visited Dr. GLENN MATNEY with our newest baby SKYLA ROSE , we been coming here for 14 years. We now have 3 girls here first is 14 years, next 8 years june 6 and newest born june 7th . There is NO BETTER PEDIATRIC DOCTOR in the high desert then Dr Glenn Matney. He listens, he is precise, he doesnt rush, answer's all questions and assists with all needs including new mothers. We just completed Graces physical for jr varsity volleyball 2017/2018 school year, she has mild ashma which he has been treating since she was 2...Azryn just had her 8 year old well visit where we went over any concerns (peanut allergy worsening) and checked height, weight etc. Compared it to growth chart over last 8 years, talked about diet, exercise etc. Also of course brought baby Skyla in for 1st two visits (1.5 weeks and 3 weeks).. gave us samples for sensitive skin, answered new mothers many questions, kept an eye on her light jaundice .. etc. He cares, he remembers and I would never go to another Dr. My children are in the very best medical hands and the have a better future and life with him watching over them. MANY THANKS......Mrs Sandra Allen
If this is your child's Doctor, I'd find a new one. My son began running a fever late Monday 6/12. We kept our eye on it and began alternating kids Tylenol/Ibuprofen. His temp at highest was 102.3 (in the early morning hours before his appointment) and in the meantime he came down with pink eye. I called and got an appointment yesterday 6/14 at 10:30am. I was told he had to come in that day or, couldn't be seen until Friday. My husband said they waited in the "sick" area of the waiting room for a while. Their wait time is always lengthy. After he was called back they were in and out in a mater of minutes. My husband was told his prescription was being sent over to our usual pharmacy. He was given and antibiotic for fever and congestion and drops for his pink eye. I got off of work (at 12:30pm) and called our pharmacy to check status of prescription. They told me nothing was sent over. I call Matney's office. I got voicemail because they closed at 12pm. They close at 12pm Wednesday and Fridays. (Convenient for parents who work). I left a message. So, now my son is miserable and without medicine to help him until the next day. I'm not happy. I am on the phone first thing at 8:30am 6/15 when Matney's office opens. I let Terri who answers the phone know what happened and she (while I'm talking) transfers me to Yolanda in the back. So rude. I tell Yolanda that my pharmacy said they never received anything from Matney. She puts me on hold and comes back to say "Yes, the Doctor never sent it over". What the hell? Who leaves their office at noon before making sure everyone you saw that day has what they need? I proceed to tell her his meds needs to be called in first thing this morning along with expressing how mad/frustrated I am. She blows me off mid sentence by saying "it will get done" and hangs up. Now, this was at 8:30am this morning. By 10am our pharmacy still had not received anything. I call Matney's office. Terri has no answers for me and transfers me to the back. I go straight to voicemail. I leave a message asking for an update and a call back. I call pharmacy at 11am. Still nothing. I call Matney's office, again. I get transferred and go straight to voicemail. I leave a not so nice message stating how absurd it is that my son still has no meds and not one single person has returned my call. I let whomever receives those voicemails know that I was beyond upset and want a call back. I let them know I would be filing a complaint and needed Matney's superiors information. Now, 12pm arrives and my husband calls to tell me the pharmacy just received his prescription. A whole 3 1/2 hours after I called at 8:30am!!! This is complete BS! For a Doctor to let a 5yr old suffer for a whole 24 hours after being seen by him is absolutely ridiculous. Plus, I still have not had one returned phone call to me from any of his staff members after leaving numerous voicemails today. Needless to say, we will not be using Glenn Matney as our sons Doctor anymore. I would advise against him to anyone who is looking for a pediatrician.
I always have a wonderful experience when we go to Dr. Matney's. I never have to wait long and the staff including Mr. Matney are always very nice and helpful. :-)
"We've been with Dr. Matney for over 18 years. He is a fantastic pediatrician that always listens to my concerns. Wait times vary, but I do not consider that negatively because I truly believe it is because he takes time with his patients and doesn't rush through appointments. The staff is always friendly, and often goes above and beyond to help. I wouldn't trust my kids health to anyone else.
I am never taking my daughter back here again. Dr. Matney is rude, disrespectful, and just a smart ass.He cut me off while I was talking and he hurt my daughter while pushing on a bite she had gotten on her already sore leg.He needs to be turned in and some of his staff are rude as well.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
