Dr. Banko is very inconsiderate. Can’t even schedule a appointment to talk to doctor.

Disappointed! Dropped off my spouse's Disability Forms over a week ago & after never hearing back from the staff, come to find out nobody knows where the Disability Forms went. So on top of Waiting on the paperwork for over a week, I need to go back to get more Disability paperwork, then drop it off at Bankos office, then hope they don't Lose them again while we wait for them to be filled out. I just applaud the Medical Offices in the High Desert! 👏👏👏

Too bad that here is nothing else less than 1 star. When it comes to dealing with his patients time, he is horrendous! I was in the hospital for 2 days on an emergency and took him 4 days to analyze my echogram and write the results after at least a dozen calls (from he hospital) to him which he never responded to. Had a follow up appointment (televisit) at 1:45 PM, I was called by his staff to verify that he was going to call me between 1:45 PM and 2:00 PM, two hours later, no call. My time is as important as his. DO NOT USE HIM AS YOUR CARDIOLOGIST!!!!!!! You could die waiting for him.

My wife's doctor, she seems very pleased with him.

Office staff is wonderful, efficient and polite.

This dr. has a strange attitude and if he is full of himself. His examination of me was poor and he simply asked me in an unsatisfied manner why my primary care doctor is bothering him with me! Needless to say you couldn't pay me to let this uninterested doctor operate, treat, or prescribe anything to me. Your demeanor is crap!! Patients beware.

My husband was his patient since he had this heart murmur new onset 5 years ago. My husband is asymptomatic and so every 6 months he will have echo. The last time was October 6, 2017 and my husband had also an EKG. He was then scheduled by Dr. Banko to have angiogram or cardiac catheterization and eventually for aortic valve replacement. My husband has still a scheduled surgery of colon on October 13 in City of Hope. So my husband decided to have a second opinion after his colon surgery . I called to cancel the proposed plan procedure and Dr Banko did not like it. When I asked if we could get a copy of EKG and Echocardiogram so be submitted to City of Hope as a requirement for preoperative testing. Well they refused to give us copy of EKG because we refused to go through that procedure that he was planning to do. It was not proper because we paid for them and we own this records. So we have to do another EKG and Echo in City of Hope ,to think that we just had it done 6 days ago.

If you want a Cardiogist who doesn't care, or if you only have a minor problem, then this is your guy. He is in love with his BMW, but has little interest in diagnosing problems. When he listened to my husband's heart during an office visit, he said, "Oh my God, did you feel that (irregular heartbeat), then changed his medication and took off in a hurry in his beloved BMW. A few weeks later when my husband called office to plead for help since medication was not working, he was told the doctor would not see him or change his meds and advised to go to the ER. After being admitted to the hospital, Dr. Banko paid my husband one  bedside visit that lasted two minutes. A miserable two minutes in which the doctor seemed very put out and disinterested. He changed my husband's medication, my husband was released from hospital , but his problem has not been corrected and does not feel comfortable going back to this doctor.

Dr. Banko and his staff are the BEST! Everyone is considerate, compassionate and caring. Dr. Banko answers all of my many questions and I always feel he is listening.
