List of Baz Allergy Asthma And Sinus Center's Reviews
I recently had an unfortunate experience with a medical provider that I feel compelled to share. The amount of money they charged me for their services was absolutely outrageous. What made matters worse was the lack of proper documentation explaining why they charged me so much. As a result, I was left with a bill of $1,000 that I couldn't fully comprehend or dispute. To add to my frustration, I was not given the option to choose the number of payments for this hefty bill. It seemed like they were charging me every time I went in for a shot, even though I had already paid almost $10,000 which was covered by my insurance. It felt unfair and incredibly burdensome. Additionally, I was put under immense pressure during my visits. The doctor would threaten to cancel my shots if I couldn't stay for at least 30 minutes. This added an unnecessary level of stress to an already difficult situation. To make matters worse, I decided to get a second opinion elsewhere. The results from this new provider showed that I was not actually allergic to the substances that the previous place had claimed, leading to the overcharge. Furthermore, they diagnosed me with asthma and prescribed an inhaler, but when I consulted my regular doctor, they found no issues with my lung function. Overall, this entire experience has left me feeling frustrated, deceived, and financially burdened. I believe it is important to share my story to raise awareness about the importance of transparency in medical billing and the need for accurate diagnoses. It is my hope that others can learn from my experience and advocate for their own rights as patients.

I had to reschedule one appointment because I was I'll with the flu, so they gave me an appointment for a month later, which I got sick again but with COVID and I out sick for almost 2 weeks i completely forgot to reschedule because I was sick and they sent a letter to notify me to find a new Dr. which they didn't even call or message me at all to find out why I missed the appointment. I take immune suppressive medicine which causes me to get sick easily. I can understand if I missed appointments before but this was my first missed appointments. Now I'm sure I have to start this whole process over again. Not happy!
The staff is extremely rude. Especially the front desk. They didn't even send a reminder call or text. I missed 1 appointment because I didn't remember and I didn't receive a reminder at all. I received a letter being dismissed as a patient because of that one missed appointment. This is the worst office I have ever been too. And to top it off they didn't even do any tests or labs when I did go in.
Be weary of this place. As other reviews have mentioned-its kind of a money suck as you have to get multiple allergy tests (they won't do it all the same day) and even tho they get the results immediately you then have to make yet another appointment to go over your results. It's a business-none of that bothered me too much. What is very alarming is my experience after receiving an allergy shot. Took my seat to wait after my allergy shots in the waiting room and started coughing a little (lingering cold). My 6 year old and I were then called up to the counter and ushered into a back room. Turns out they were scared of an allergic reaction. Even tho I felt nothing out of the norm I understood their concern and that certain protocols needed to taken on their end. From there vitals were checked (heart rate was up a little). I was immediately given an ultimatum of adrenaline shot plus Claritin pill (I was breathing well and still felt completely fine and told the staff this repeatedly) or head to the emergency room. If I didn't accept those two choices then I would be dismissed as a patient and could no longer receive my shots there anymore which I prepaid for. I'll spare all the details but after an hour and a half of repeatedly checking my vitals, taking the adrenaline shot, Claritin pill and albuterol breathing treatment I was positive I was having no allergic reaction and thanked them for the protocol and that I would be leaving. At that point I was kept in the room for approx 10 minutes longer and then left the room with my child and in comes two ER techs and a stretcher ready to haul me to ER. The ambulance techs were very surprised when they saw me as I looked completely healthy. They then demanded the ER techs make me sign paperwork that didn't exist, it was a mess. I was never told an ambulance was being called and they never once asked about my child or what would happen to him if I let them rush me to the ER. I'll stop there, but I will say I've never experienced a more odd/unprofessional situation. I'm assuming they are frightened of liability issues-in my opinion not good enough reasons to treat a patient like an incompetent and not do what is best for the individual. Steer clear. As I was leaving the provider said she was going to call me every hour because she was so worried about me, never heard from her since. They also refuse to refund me on all my allergy shots I prepaid for. Shadiest "doctors office" I've ever been to.
Very good Dr & Staff. Highly recommend.
Four years of allergy shots that helped me feel better, and an education on managing the condition with lifestyle changes and medication. My issue was and is that I felt like it was a cattle call. So many folks, so little human interaction. The first person who gave me shots did a great job with minimal pain. The next person hurt!! I talked to him and explained what was different but no luck.
I have been dealing with the chronic cough and not having any answers.I wasn't sure if they were allergies or anything related to allergies so I made an appointment at the Baz Allergy Center. I went to go see a doctor by the name of Hi Hiyama,Lauren MD. He asked me many questions ran some test for my breathing and was able to narrow down my problem. He was very friendly and was able to give me a diagnosis of silent reflux disease. He was able to prescribe me some medication and made me feel a lot better also provided great patient education on the disease. Thank you so much Dr. I appreciate your time I highly recommend this doctor and was definitely worth my $50 co-pay. I will be back to see him in 4 to 6 weeks. Best experience ever.
I want to say that I love Baz Allergy Doctors and Staff. They are all kind and attentive to all my needs. Struggling for a long time they have given me my life back. I want to recommend them to everyone. May they be blessed for all they have done for me they have been a blessing to my life.
My daughter had her first appointment at Baz today. She seen Dr. Hiyama and I can not say it enough what an amazing doctor he is. The amount of time he took with us trying to figure out her “problems” and not just related to allergies he took the time to explain other diagnosis. We left with so much knowledge on her allergies and more! Thank you for the wonderful experience Dr. Hiyama! Very friendly staff as well:)

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
