Worst experience I've ever had. 😡

I was very skeptical after reading the reviews but I had no choice. I had surgery in the outpatient center today and had a WONDERFUL experience!!! : ) I have had 6 different surgeries in the past at different facilities and this by far the best experience all around. The staff was very friendly and informative no matter how many questions I had. The post op experience was amazing. I woke up feeling like I had just taken a really good nap. I was not in any pain and had no nausea or dizziness like with past surgeries. I would like to thank everyone who assisted in my care today. I would definitely recommend this hospital for outpatient surgery.

So far I have mixed feelings about my family members care. I was shocked to find out that the doctor was giving him Remdesivir, which had a recall at the beginning of this month because glass particulates were found in some batches. Plus it has a bad reputation for causing kidney and liver damage and other major issues with a many, especially nurses I have spoken to on the front lines.I mentioned this to my family members doctor and he quickly said that the recall was only on "some" batches.How do we know if other batches weren't affected? We find out because people have adverse reactions. Why take the chance when there's other options for treatment.But I told him given the bad reputation,the recall and with some medical journals and articles reporting "no clinical benefit", "Little or no impact on survival", why is he choosing this drug?I know of two people with no previous comorbidities who went into the hospital with Covid and were given remdesivir in September and October who ultimately died while being treated.I'm giving three stars instead of one star because he quickly listened to my feedback and change the protocol without any pushback. I must've made sense and made a reasonable request.I was also shocked that two of the nurses on staff had not heard of the recall a few weeks ago by Gilead of this drug Remdesivir (also known as Verlurky). It's like the staff at Kaweah Delta are in a bubble. If a drug has such a horrible track record and has a recall, don't use it.The doctor finally put my family member on a drug that he said has been around much longer and has less side effects. Should have done this to begin with.I find the sock that we cannot visit even with precautions disturbing given the fact that the best decisions for medical care are not being made for my loved ones. Our loved ones need us to be their advocates.On a positive note the communication has been very good with most of the nurses and doctors at the hospital.

My husband has been in and out of Kaweah health hospital the past two months and have had experience with most departments from ER, radiology, ICU, respiratory and physical therapy, case management/social workers and inpatient care. Even with covid issues stretching the staff thin we were treated with respect and always felt like we were getting the best care possible. Both doctors and nurses spent the time to make sure we understood what was going on and answered any questions we had. Always was given the feeling that each person there truly cared about both of us and was empathetic to our situation.

We had the best experience all the way from ED to the 4 South wing. My husband also needed a neurosurgeon and through our stay ended up meeting all the surgeons in the practice. We would have felt comfortable with any of them preforming the surgery. We ended up with Dr. Oh and he was fantastic. So thankful for this amazing hospital.

Don't get me wrong all Dr's and all nurses except the one we're amazing. And that 1 that wasn't definitely does not belong working there. I was admitted for a rapid heart beat which I came back AFIB. Once they gave me medication and put me in another area to wait for a room I was placed in a room that the TV didn't allow the curtain to close fully so I can see the nurses on their computers. At one point in time I couldn't breathe and my heart started racing again and he was right there not doing anything I even was able to record it. And earlier he replaced my IV fluid and never turned it on so I wasn't receiving any. Mind you I came in extremely dehydrated as well. He was close enough to where I can hear his personal conversations so I'm sure he heard the warning on my machine. I made sure to send my video to my fiance incase anything would of happen to me because if something did it was 100% negligence under his watch. Once in a room everything was great again.

Just got home from out patient surgery. Experience went well. Staff was very professional and courteous. Would like to thank the staff.

Hospital is great service dont allow all the negative reviews with people comments. Doctors, nurses, security, all staff you are doing an awesome job dont all oh w negativity people like to create. Thank you kaweah delta
