He delivered my son August 12, 2019. I think he’s a great doctor! He’s caring and knows what he’s actually doing. I’ve heard of him before but never knew who he was until he delivered my baby. Too bad he is not at Healthy Beginnings.

I loved Dr. Basel, but I could see why others may shy away from his care. He orders a ton of tests, asks a ton of questions, and over explains everything. Bad thing? I do not think so. The more information that I could get the better. He is a little over the top at times but definitely cares about your mental and physical well being. He is very thorough in his testing. If there was something to be concerned about in my pregnancy, he would have known. Also, very strict about weight. I did not like it when I was pregnant, but postpartum i was so thankful. He made me feel comfortable throughout my pregnancy and delivery.

Dr. Basel is HORRIBLE... if you're expecting and he is your OB YOU NEED TO FIND SOMEONE ELSE. He is careless and its his way or the highway... Dr. Basel told me I was having twins and told my husband and I we had lost one.. informing us that our baby that did survive will most likely have down syndrome.. We went to valley children's the week after this appointment they confirmed we were never pregnant with twins. I was so stressed out I was losing hair he told me I had fungus and was trying to prescribe me medication which you should not take well being pregnant! Instantly I switched OB went with Dr. Enloe (AMAZING!) my hormones were going crazy which causes hair loss. my daughter is now a year old healthier than a horse! The reason I am writing this is because I want to help anyone else who is looking for an OB GYN and are reading reviews to find a good one.

Dr. Basel saved mine and my baby's life i wish he was at healthy beginnings still he's on it about everything I could of died thank God Dr Basel took over my pregnancy.! And took care of me and my baby he's good and honest about everything that's good not like other Doctor's when they keep telling you to come back if it gets worse by the time that happens you could be more sick!!!!

He needs his license taken away! He should not have the privilege of helping out women!

Dr. Basal makes me confident in his abilities as a medical practitioner. Dr. Basal does order a lot of tests but that makes me confident that he leaves nothing to question. I have always had good communication with him as my doctor. If I ask a question he answers it. The one thing I really like about Dr. Basal is that if I am worried about some aspect of my health he will research the answer if he cannot answer it immediately; on the next visit he will address it and have the answer. Dr. Basal also makes sure all of my other physical concerns are being addressed. He just doesn't ask about women's health issues but always about anything having to do with my overall medical history. This leads me to believe he cares about my quality of life as a whole person.

Dr. Basel is very unprofessional; he doesn’t answer questions and he assumes things about you without looking at your chart. He orders way too many test and he never explains the results or the purpose of the test. He wanted me to go see him every two week just because I’m over 35; when I went to my new Dr. she explained that he was doing tests or prescribing medication that were not necessary. I learned more about my pregnancy the first day I went to my new Dr. that with Dr. Basel in all those appts. during my first trimester. To make it worse, his waiting time in his office is always long; one time I waited like an 45 to be taken in and like another 45 minutes to be seen inside. Every visit was uniformative and it always left me with anxiety. I do not recommend him as a Dr.

This Dr SAVED my mothers life. He found ovarian cancer on her FIRST visit. He set us up with Dr from Stanford medical center who is the best in the field. HE and his staff were very compassionate caring and FAST at getting my mother the care she needed. They GUIDED us through the entire process. He took steps along the way to explain and educate this process. I've never met such a Dr to take time and not RUSH you out the door. THANK YOU DR BASEL ! and your staff. I've told everyone how wonderful she was taken care of.

Refused to go over lab work with me, walked out of room as I was mid-sentence asking a question about my baby’s test. Refused to explain purpose of tests to my mom who came with me to an appointment. He would just walk out of the room when he was done whether you had questions/concerns or not. Overall unprofessional and I don’t trust him to provide good care as he seems to take any question as a personal attack. I would leave the office in tears and refused to see him for any more appointments after just 2 visits it was so bad.
